  • A complicated story of second chances!

It would be next to impossible to tell you why I loved this book so much without giving away to much of the story, but I'm going to try! Even after all these books, LLV never fails to surprise me! This book is a mash up, comedy of errors type of book. Booth loves Dillon, but has a son with her twin, Delanie. His twin, on the other hand seems to have a love/hate thing going on with Delanie! Any kind of relationship between Booth and Dillon seems to be doomed, before it even gets started. But it's never too late for a second chance, right?!? No matter how perfect Booth and Dillon are for each other, there is so much standing in their way, and it really seems hopeless at times. I had my doubts at times, but knew that LLV would manage to pull out a HEA in the end. And boy did she! Their story is one of second chances, a perfect love, a messy life, and a family that stands behind you, no matter what. This book was everything. There were times that I laughed so loud my kids ran to see what was so funny. There were times that I was so shocked, I shouted in dismay! Just a word of caution, while this book has a wonderful HEA, and the story is complete, it seems to be tied tightly with the next book. Which is really to be expected, right? I mean, Twins. But I'm left with a few questions, which I'm sure will be answered in the next story!

4 Star Review Jokes On You (Swat Next Generation 2.0 #5) by Lani Lynn Vale  I’m really not sure where to start with this review. I knew from the ending of the previous book that this would be one heck of a complicated story but I had no idea how much. I had a hard time relating to Booth Pena and in fact it took me most of the book to warm up to him. I found and Dillan Davidsdottir easier to relate to, although truthfully I didn’t understand how she could be so forgiving. We all make mistakes, it’s how we own up and deal with them that make a person. The fact that Booth slept with the love of his life’s twin sister Delanie (because he couldn’t have Dillan) really annoyed me. Now he has returned and his feelings remain for Dillan. Can he convince her to finally give him a chance? Dillan is a strong and sassy woman, but I have no idea how she could forgive him. The relationship he has with Asa the result of his night of misguided passion was probably the redeeming factor for me with Booth. This was a suspenseful, drama filled journey that Lani Lynn Vale lead us on as questions will be answered. Whilst not my favourite story from this author, it was well written.

  • Review: SWAT Generation 2.0 #6: Joke’s On You

Joke's on You by Lani Lynn Vale is the sixth book in her latest series, SWAT Generation 2.0 . Continuing with the stars of the SWAT Calendar shoot, meet the month of June - also known as Booth Pena. A dedicated father who has overcome some rocky issues and is putting his best foot forward despite the fact that he has a child with the twin sister of the woman he's been head over heels for since her first laid eyes on her in grade school. Dillan Davidsdottir has loved and hated Booth equally since the night he got her twin sister pregnant. But five years later the hate has lessened and the love is still there, unrequited, unannounced and ready to burst. A story that is hot and steamy and handles the complications of these two sets of twins, Booth & Bourne and Dillan & Delanie, the complications their relationship could cause and the fact that despite the intervention of some really sinister and twisted people, true love and fate prevails. Loved It. Devoured it! Enjoy!

  • Another great read!

I wasn't quite sure how I felt about this book going into because of the history between the twin men and the twin women. Sometimes love triangles like this tend to make me cringe. However, I should NEVER HAVE DOUBTED Lani Lynn Vale because she nailed it in the BEST WAY! I loved how we found out the how's and why's of what happened in the past and I adored the love that these two shared. Of course, the suspense was off the chain and now I can't wait for the next book! This is a must read!
