    Loved it

5 star Review Jonah (Chicago Blaze #7) by Brenda Rothert    Every time I pick up a book in the Chicago Blaze series, I don’t think that it can be better than the last one and yet every time it is. From start to finish Brenda Rothert drew me in and held me captivated with the story she wove. This is Reyna and Jonah West’s story and what a story it was; it blew me away. Having met Jonah before and knowing the heartbreak that he endured, I was anxious to see what Ms.Rothert had in store for him and I was cheering him on to get the happily ever after that he so deserved. Rey is an undercover FBI agent whose life’s work is to rescue kidnapped children. When her latest mission requires her to get close to the Chicago Blaze team to catch one of their fans, Jonah’s brother asks for his assistance. Jonah has no idea that by agreeing to pose as Rey’s boyfriend he has set in motion a chain of events which will change his life forever. This was a slow burn story that ticked all the boxes for me. The chemistry between Jonah and Rey was scorching and it was fun to watch their relationship blossom. There were times that I was on the edge of my seat and Jonah was a wonderful addition to one of my all time favourite series. This is a little gem, one click, you won’t be disappointed.

    Great addition to the series

I have to say this is my favourite Chicago Blaze story, I knew this book was going to be special from the first chapter and Jonah and Reyna’s story stayed with me long after the final words had been read. We have met Jonah before and we knew the heartbreak he had suffered so i was intrigued to see where Ms Rothert was going to take us and wether she was going to give the man the HEA he so deserved. Rey works undercover for the FBI normally rescuing kidnapped children and her latest mission brings her to Chicago and it involves a high profile Chicago Blaze fan. Jonah’s brother needs help, he needs a man to be a fake boyfriend for the undercover agent who better than one of the players..... This slow burn romance touched me on so many levels, it was everything I have come to expect from this very talented author, I smiled at the witty banter and I swooned at the sizzling chemistry but it was this couples journey that took this book to another level and I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat as their friendship went to another level as they admit their feelings for each other. Perfect addition to one of my favourite series

    Love Jonah & Reyna!

Jonah West is a goalie for the Chicago Blaze who lost his wife three years ago. He’s been single ever since and plans to stay that way. His brother, Logan, is a detective. He asks him to pretend to be the boyfriend of an undercover agent, Reyna Diaz. Reyna is an FBI agent who saves children from sex traffickers. Jonah and Reyna have an easy fake relationship. They have fun together and enjoy each other’s company. They’re also attracted to one another. Watching them come together and realize their fake relationship was starting to feel real was beautiful. I enjoyed seeing some characters from the previous books too. And Reyna’s roommate and friend Kai was a great addition to the story. I really enjoyed this story. I liked the way Jonah and Reyna treated each other and the other people in their lives. I also enjoyed the undercover part of the story. I will definitely be recommending Jonah to all of my reading buddies.

    Heart wrenching but explosive.

Reyna is completely focused on her career in the FBI, pursuing the vermin that traffickers of children are. When an assignment takes her to Chicago she must go undercover to catch an elitist who also happens to trade in children. As the suspect frequents the Chicago Blaze VIP box, she needs access to this season’s pass holder and going undercover as a player’s girlfriend is the only option. Enter Jonah, goalie for the Chicago Blaze, brother to a Chicago PD officer and a widow of 3 years with no intention of connecting with anyone ever again. His initial resistance to his attraction towards Reyna is a part of his survival instinct. But soon both Jonah and Reyna find their walls crumbling as they get to know one another and that loneliness and isolation of self preservation is replaced by passion and companionship. Leaving each other once this assignment is over is going to be the most difficult thing that either of them is going to have to do. Advanced Review Copy provided for voluntary review consideration.

Slow burn with a suspense element.

I really enjoyed this slow burn storyline with a suspense element. Jonah and Rey’s chemistry sizzles and I loved watching their relationship evolve. Another great addition to this series!
