  • Practical, YET NOT Prescriptive

I picked up "Joy at Work" purely out of curiosity and to get a perspective on what organising work would mean. In a conversational and friendly style, Kondo and Sonenshein take on the approachable role of sharing stories and acknowledging that not everything we try may work but if we try, it may work in a way that suits our context. Particularly useful were the dichotomies of physical and digital spaces in terms of what tidiness meant in those contexts. Overall, I received a lot of useful and inspiring take-aways which made this a practical and down-to-earth, as well as enjoyable read.

    Thanks for your feedback!
