    Great Read

4.5 Stars This one definitely pulls at your heart and emotions. I knew right from the beginning I was to keep some tissues close. There are some heartbreaking moments in this one and just feel so much for these characters. I definitely was emotionally invested with the characters especially for Quincy and Chance. Playboy soccer player Daniel may have just found the one woman worth hanging up that hat. I liked how Daniel and Quincy met because at such a sad moment something beautiful emerged. This book is a good example of life doesn't always go according to plan, but those us curve balls that show us how much we can handle. Quincy is overwhelmed and may be at her breaking point, but someone was looking out for her when Daniel comes into her life. Now these two people create an unlikely friendship, but the attraction pulls too hard these two as well. Neither wants a relationship, but what happens when you realize the real deal is staring you in the face..

Recommend for an amazing story and characters

Let me begin by saying, I am a soccer fan, when it's the time for the World Cup, I lose my sh*t the way, everyone lost it at the Superbowl with Janet Jackson's nip-slip. Now, what stayed with me hours after I had finished the book was how amazing these two characters were. Quinsy has not had it easy, losing her sister in car accident and suddenly getting custody of her nephew, she didn't know existed was... let's just say rough. Though, she persevered, the night she and Daniel met had me smiling so much, it was sweet and warmed my heart up to both of them. Even after the scene where Quincy finds out her sister is dead, M.E. Carter had me laughing, seriously 3% into the book, after a tough and emotionally draining scene, she had me smiling! Then we have Daniel, aaah, sweet, funny and hot as hell Daniel, if only he was real *sigh* When I think of Daniel, I think of every delicious, sexy-as-hell soccer player I know, and hope that they would be this kind, this generous, sweet, and loving as Daniel was. I mean he is a man and like any other man, he has his moments, but they were not so bad that I felt the need to junk-punch him. Yay! What I loved the most about this book is how the story progressed, it was not a fairy-tale but a kind of love where it was realistic, these two got to know one another, lusted after each other, fell in love with the person they got to know and not a made up idea in their head. And those sexy times, *woooh, child*, it was panty-melting hot. I had to go to my room and open the window to cool myself *ahem*. Overall, this was a story of two people struggling in their own way, Daniel with his fears and demons and Quincy with life dealing her a crappy hand, it seemed like life kept kicking while she was down. In the end though, the journey of them finding each other and being there for one another and helping each other heal in their ways... that was beautiful. I really do recommend it if you're in the mood for a good, witty sport-romance with great characters, a great storyline and a baby! Did I mention that the baby is the cutest thing ever? <3
