An Emotional & Amazing Conclusion to the Series!

Get those tissues ready and buckle up! Just an Illusion - EP is the 3rd book in the Illusion series and should only be read after Side A and The B Side. The story picks up right where the 2nd left off and it's extremely emotional. That first 10-15% or so gutted me so much that I had to take some breaks to process what was happening and give my heart and head time to recover. D. Kelly was not joking when she said that she would have to destroy us before putting us back together. I'm not going to sugar coat it. Sometimes I felt like I was drowning in pain. Don't despair though, there are scenes so beautiful that they will make your heart sing and moments so hot your kindle may melt. I apologize for the vagueness of my review, but there are very few things I can say without it being a gigantic spoiler. Just know that your heart will hurt reading this, but it will be healed too. The journey that our characters take is not an easy one. It is heartbreaking, raw, and beautifully honest, but they come out so much stronger on the other side. I did get a little confused trying to keep the timeline in order at first, but I thought alternating the past and present chapters until things converged in the present was a wonderful way to paint the bigger picture of what our characters were experiencing. One thing is certain though after reading this series - Noah and Sawyer Weston will go down in the book boyfriend hall of fame. Thank you D. Kelly for this amazing ride!

A five star series with all the feels

Do you believe in fate? Just an Illusion EP explores this concept and challenges the reader to question fate's role in this journey we call life. D. Kelly's EP picks up right where the action ended in The B Side. After The B Side I had predicted a list of possible outcomes for our beloved Weston family and the boys of BAD and I was not disappointed by D. Kelly's path and direction. This book is about family, loss, and healing. Yes, you will need tissues, but you find yourself healing right along with these wonderful characters.

    Tissue required

This is the 3rd book in the Just an Illusion series and all I can say is buckle up! Dee tried to warn us in the ARC groups for each book but I have to say that I doubted her about the crazy this series would pull out of my emotions. LOL This series HAS to be read in order because you will be lost otherwise. Now to try to write this review........ This is the most emotional wrenching book that I have read in years. I am not usually a crier over books but I cried for about 75% of the book, the other 25%, I was bouncing with happiness at the turn things were taking, sometimes all within the span of a couple pages. Please make sure you have the time to dedicate to the book and gather up tissues, chocolate, some alcohol and a nerve pill because good lord, you're going to need it. I had to take a couple of days to process the whole thing and to recover from the emotional roller coaster that this series had wrought. I absolutely love the support system that the Weston's give to each other and Mel. That's seriously the only thing I can write specifically about this book because otherwise you will know what direction the book might take. There is love, loss, new beginnings and even a couple of sweaty, swoony sexy times. There really isn't a way to write a review for this book without spoilers because everything is connected. I was so mad that the first two books were cliffhangers but this book makes up for it in a HUGE way. Have you ever had a book that you just KNOW will stay with you forever? This series is exactly that for me. The author is a magician with words and I will fan-girl to the end of time over her just because of this series.

I was truly heartbroken and shocked by events in this book. Totally not what I imagined. Sobbed my heart out for most of the book. Heartwarming and poignant ending. I wont read next book as I am unable for the heartbreak. Loved the characters though.

    Emotional & heartbreaking!

EP comes with a warning... I would mostly encourage you all to read this book alone, in silence, with a BIG box of tissues and a full bottle of whiskey. After the tragic ending of Just an Illusion - The B Side, you will need all your strength to read it. You will understand this whole love story around the 50% mark, I mean truly understand what the author did here. No, you can't read this one before the other two, no way. You will only spoil the fantastic story that was prepared for you. D. Kelly has become one of my favorite authors with her other series, but this one just sealed the deal. *Read and Reviewed for The Bookery Review*
