    Just like other daughters

This struck a cord with me as I also have a disabled adult child.

    Just like other daughters

Having worked with people with learning disabilities several years ago it was enlighting that attitudes in general have moved on. An easy read in general but thought provoking all the same.

Time spent reading this book was quality.

You get the perspective from both the parent and the daughter. The close relationship between the mother and daughter is well defined. Many emotions and much love as a parent is expressed. There is laughter and tears as the reader.

    Just Like Other Daughters

Very touching story. Mother was a very brave person who handled every situation wonderfully. The other parents did not.The ending was heartbreaking.

    Captivating

Imagining the thoughts and feelings of both the mother and the daughter was particularly insightful. This was a veey moving and realistic story. Quite easy to empathize with all characters
