5 Star review of Just One Dare (The Kingston Family #5) by Carly Phillips I am loving the Kingston family and it was so great to be back with the, Just One Dare is the fifth book in the series and was as entertaining as all the previous books. Being welcomed into the Kingston family single mother Aurora Michaels and her daughter Leah do not want for love. They have been accepted into the fold and have a happy life. Imagine Aurora’s shock when attending a premiere she comes face to face with her one night stand Nick, the father of Leah. Seeing Aurora again and learning that he is a father to a five year Nick is determined to stay in their lives and establish a relationship. Being brought up in the foster care system, Aurora has a great deal off baggage and Nick struggles to convince her to take a chance. Can Nick convince Aurora that they could have a wonderful life together and be the family that all three of them deserve? Just One Dare is a well written second chance at love story that will get to you on a number of levels.

  • Aurora and Nick

Aurora's story is finally here. I have been waiting for years for her story and it was absolutely my favorite book that I have read this year. It has a surprise daddy, and he is a Dare. It was awesome and I loved every minute of it. It was sexy, hot, sweet and totally awesome! Aurora was an orphan who wasn't an orphan we have been seeing her in stories about the Kingston family. Essentially she was a long lost Kingston until her brother found out she existed. She had a very heart breaking story as she was living on the street essentially when she found herself pregnant. That lead to her being found by the Kingston family and now her daughter is 6 and she runs a charity to help girls like her. Her brother Dash is a movie star and she is at the movie premier when her past catches up to her. Her baby daddy she only knew him as "Nick" with no last name, she was never able to tell him that he was a daddy until she spots him at a movie premiere. When Nick sees her, he can't believe his eyes. He has been trying to find her for years. Fate finally stepped in and they find each other but Nick has a six year old surprise awaiting him. This was an awesome second chance romance but also very much a reunion romance. Both Aurora and Nick had insta lust/love but lost each other until now. He wants to claim them but his big problem is that Aurora needs stability and he lives out of a suitcase. This was a really awesome and fun romance. I loved the whole reunion and the author did a great job with the characters and the issues that they each had. I loved how Nick was with Aurora and his newly discovered daughter. I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Enjoyed it!

Just One Dare is the final book in The Kingston Family series, but it also helps to kick off the next series, The Dirty Dares. This story brings together two of the most prominent families, the Dare's and the Kingston's as Nick Dare and Aurora Kingston get a second chance at the relationship they were deprived of more than five years earlier. When Aurora learned she was pregnant years before, she and the baby's father had only exchanged first names, so there was no way to find him. Now years later, she and Nick, the man from that night are reunited. Now that Nick knows about their daughter, he has to decide if he's going to change his no commitment rule and Aurora has to decide if she can lower her walls and trust. Will these two make it as a couple or only end up being co-parents? This had great pace and I appreciated the way both Nick and Aurora went about the relationship. Adding Thea in, she was adorable and a delight. I also appreciated that while the families wanted to help, they weren't terribly overbearing. A good balance, but there if they were needed. This is definitely one I'd recommend picking up!

  • Rock-solid Feels

I enjoyed this book. It read easily and delivered some rock-solid Feels. I found Nick and Aurora quite likable, and I thought they made a great couple. They were very swoon worthy. Their story captured and maintained my attention and I felt deeply invested in seeing them get that HEA. I am freely posting a frank review.

  • Loved!

Loved Aurora and Nick! I love this series and can't wait to see where it goes next. Aurora is a character we've seen in the background a lot throughout the other books in the series. It was great to finally see who her daughter's father is. And because of their arrangement, we also get to see why he's never been a part of their lives. Until now. When they see each other at Nick's brother's movie premiere. Nick tried to see her again after their night together but she hid. And later when she found out she was pregnant, she had no way of contacting him. He plans on using this second chance to charm Aurora and to show her that he's not going away. Knowing he has a daughter and that he's missed so much has him doing as much as he can to let Aurora know that she can lean on him and that he's not going anywhere.
