    Entertaining and so good

5 star review of Just One Kiss (Very Irresistible Bachelors #2) Layla Hagen    Layla Hagen is a relatively new author to me and why that is I have absolutely no idea. This is the second book in her latest series and can be read as a stand alone although when time permits I will be looking at reading book one in the series. The writing was strong and the characters were easy to relate to and I found myself totally invested in the story that M. Hagen wove from the first to the last chapter. This is Ryker Winchester, is a man who is used to wielding authority and power. The woman who is about to pull the rug right out from under him is Heather, a single mum with an adorable little girl, Avery.   This is a book that left me with a smile on my face, it was also steamy and passionate. Ryker ticked the boxes for me, hot as sin and an alpha who set my heart racing. I loved Heather, she is sassy and feisty and not at all afraid to stand up to Ryker whilst Avery, was such a little cutie that she almost stole the book right from under them.   Heather has been badly hurt before and does not give her trust easily, particularly since she will do whatever it takes to ensure Avery is protected. I loved how the relationship between Ryker and Heather developed until it becomes impossible to resist and builds into a passionate and explosive love; I also enjoyed the banter between them which only added to my enjoyment. The relationship that Ryker built with Avery was swoon worthy and just about melted my heart. All in all this was one of those books that gave me all the feels, a little gem that ticked the boxes for me.

    I love these siblings

Layla Hagen is one of my favourite authors. I know that every time I pick up one her books, I am going to finish it feeling happy with the outcome for the characters. One of the things I love about her work is that there is no real angst. The characters work together to solve the issues in their relationships, none of the breaking up and getting back together again and again and again that some books have. Another thing I love is the close family structures of her characters. The last few series have been based on one family of siblings and each make an appearance in each others' books, and I love that with series. I feel like I can keep up to date with everyone else while reading about a new romance. This story was no different. I loved Ryker and Heather, and we saw a whole new side of Ryker with Heather's daughter. I can't wait to read about the rest of the siblings.

    All the feels

Just One Kiss is book 2 in the Very Irresistible Bachelors Series but it can certainly be read as a stand-alone but I’m sure after picking this entertaining romance up you will want to read the previous book. Ryker Winchester is a man used to getting his own way whether that be in business or his personal life, Heather is the woman about to show him that there’s more to life than power and authority, she’s a single mum with an adorable little girl who steals Ryker’s heart, who would have thought a little girl could bring this man to his knees..... Heather doesn’t trust easily, she has been hurt before and she certainly won’t let someone close to her daughter if she thinks there us no future so how will she handle this man powering his way into their life’s .......guess you need to read the book to find that out. This book ticked all my boxes, I loved Ryker and Heather, I laughed at the one liners only an adorable child could deliver, I swooned and I signed and I didn’t want this story to come to an end. Just One Kiss will certainly be on my best reads of 2020 so I urge you to one click this must read.

    Loved

This was a cute book, Ryker is swoon worthy. He is all flirty charm, with a dash of protective. He loves both and that’s always my favorite!

Just Loved This Wonderful Single Mother Romance

I received an ARC of Just One Kiss by Layla Hagen for an honest review. I can honestly say that I loved every moment of every page of Just One Kiss. Just One Kiss is the second book in the Very Irresistible Bachelor series. It is a sizzling romance and an amazing story. I loved the story and could not put it down. I love how Layla Hagen always writes about big loving families. I really enjoyed how the book is written in the first person and that the chapters are written from Heather and Ryker's perspective. Who doesn't love big families and romance. Once again, Layla Hagen has shown that she is a incredible story teller. Just One Kiss is the story of Ryker Winchester, Wall Street investment banker who is nicknamed "Flirt" by his family and Heather Prescott, single mother to seven-year-old, Avery and journalist. Ryker and Heather meet by chance when he defends her during a confrontation with her ex-boyfriend at a bar where he performs. Heather is smitten with Ryker, and calls the bar to find out when he is performing next. Heather does not realize that Ryker is and investment banker by day and a guitarist by night. Heather is not sure she wants to get involved with anyone else so close to her break up. She tells her daughter that it will just be the two of them. Ryker invites Heather and Avery to a Winchester family gala and things changed between Heather and Ryker. They continue to find ways to be together, and Ryker realizes this is entirely different than anything he has ever experienced. Heather is concerned about what role she wants Ryker to have her life because of Avery. Soon Avery has Ryker wrapped around her little finger and is scheming with him. Then something happens which makes Heather question if there really is room in Ryker's life for her and Avery. I love the characters that Layla writes about and the details she describes about New York. Layla Hagen always writes about strong female characters, that I thoroughly enjoy. Just One Kiss is filled with Layla Hagen's normal bittersweet and poignant moments, not to mention her usual plot twists that I have come to expect and love! There were several plot twist in Just One Kiss, and I am so glad that they all get resolved. Cannot wait for Skye's story next. I love that each story in the series is like a family reunion, and that I got to catch up with some moments with Hunter and Josie.
