  • Funny and sweet

This is a funny and sweet book that fans of the genre will enjoy. Grace is photographer who works temp jobs to keep herself afloat in between paying photography jobs. She ends up working for Sawyer, a famous dog trainer that's been smeared publicly by his ex-girlfriend. They're complete opposites, but keep being drawn together. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, right up until the end. Unfortunately, the ending felt abrupt and unrealistic - especially since it took them a month to decide weather or not to date. I enjoyed the characters and loved the focus on vets and dogs. I'm a fan of the author and have her on my must read authors' list. I'm sad to give this one just four stars.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Quite A Pickle

Free spirited Grace is in a real pickle. She needs to raise some money quickly. Sawyer is in Kingston for a reset and to salvage his reputation. This is an overall sweet story. The escapades with Bert, the dog, are hilarious. The characters are emotionally vulnerable and offer opportunities for becoming better human beings. I love that Grace is able to solve her own problems and not rely on a man to do so for her.
