    My Review

This was the first book I read by Elizabeth Barone and I have to say I enjoyed it. Both these main characters have a rough go of life and it really shows in this book. The relationship between Rowan and Matt starts off so sweet and innocent you can't help but get pulled in their story. However they have a really rocky start (given the funeral and all). Both these characters have difficult home lives completely different from one another but similar in the sense that they're trying to escape their current family situations. Rowans family likes to indulge in "extra activities" which doesn't amuse Rowan in the least, so she distances herself from them. Matt on the other hand is just trying to support his broken family after the death of his father. Matt's mom is struck with grief and completely checks out leaving Matt's kid brother Danny to fend for himself. Matt's frustrated because things were finally starting to go his way with Rowan but once again Matt's home life throws another curve ball and he's dragged into his family responsibilities once again, hurting Rowan in the process once again. I loved the scene when Matt says to Rowan "give me two weeks and we could be" Referring to the scene where he's going to get Rowan to fall for him during those two weeks. I love the fact that it takes place in a bakery and that Matt's not ashamed of his job. I also loved the pizza picnic, my husband and I do those in the summer too so it really made me smile. Thanks Elizabeth Barone for the early release copy.

    Sweet

This was a sweet romantic story. I liked the characters and the plot line. I was a bit confused with the timeline on a few occasions but overall an enjoyable read.
