Kindling Flames (the ancient fire) by Julie Wetzel

I was enjoying this paranormal romance until it ended mid-story. The first part was free but if you want to know what happens you have to buy part two. This just makes me mad. Either I want to buy the entire book or get it free so that I can discover a new author and will be willing to buy further books. However DON'T end a book in the middle of the story like this! I won't buy the rest of the story and I won't buy other books by this author because now I don't trust that I'll actually get an entire story. Shame on the publisher, they screwed the author in my opinion.

    Cliffhanger alert

Its truly a very beautifully written story. Fantastic storyline and well developed and very likable characters. But i really do not appreciate cliffhangers. it could be that the people behind this idea of cutting the story in the middle was to make sure that readers will also buy the next book which would mean more money. :( its just sad and such a turn off. :( i reAlly like both the hero and the heroine in this Story even the support chRacters. I see lots of potential and i can tell it would be an amazing story. But like i said i really do not appreciate unfinished stories. Its very frustrating and a wee bit disappointing. Somehow it over rides that happy feeling of just having read a good book.

    Fun paranormal urban fantasy

This will appeal to both YA & adult readers. The characters are engaging, and the storyline interesting. It doesn’t fall into the usual vampire fodder. The author has done enough world building that she engages the reader without going into a wordy backstory. The writing is deft and assured, and left me wanting more. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

    Enjoyable read

A little slow , but very enjoyable. Was interesting enough to keep me reading and although a little slow, I enjoyed how Darien secret was slowly revealed.
