    Riveting!

This had me entranced. It's an older man, younger woman romance that's complex and passionate that it was hard to put down. Gentry and Kendall have their work cut out for them. Their attraction is instant but both control themselves because there are other things at play and as hard as it is to move past their attraction and connection, it's hard. The pull and chemistry they have is explosive and I loved being able to see them maneuver everything and grow and move past all the obstacles. Great start to a new series

I love Marie Johnson's work and when I saw a whole new series I was so happy and after reading it am totally hooked if this first book is any indication then this is going to be a beauty of a series Gentry King hasn't had a easy life he married young and had four sons while he was still young he was also widowed but that didn't get his interfering mother in law out of his life Now at fifty he is a playboy, a oil baron running a company with said MIL still interfering. He is about to interview a young woman for a position in his comapny when the unthinkable happens they are stranded in a snow storm with no heating and the attraction between them is off the charts. Kendall Brinkley is the total opposite of Gentry she is super responsible she had to be as the oldest of six children she is also recently divorced and unemployed. She needs this job Can these two form something that will last when they have to deal with a MIL from hell four sons and a huge age gap You will have to read to see.

    King's crown

Kendall is not having the best time in her life at the moment. But she is trying to cope with it the best as she can while dealing with stuff and staying positive. A wonderful read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    A Silver Fox

Poor Kendall has had a run of bad luck she lost her job, her roommate (her ex-husband) replaces her in the house they share with his latest lover and she is forced to move home with her family. The family depends on her to help with her younger siblings too much. A dream job pops up and she has a flight on the family's private jet for the interview with her potential boss's father. A winter snowstorm grounds them and of course, there is only one hotel room available in town. Gentry lost his wife years before and he has raised his sons while being a bit of a playboy on the side, no relationships. I enjoyed these characters and the attraction they had for each other. This book starts the story for this family with lots of drama based on Gentry's dead wife's will and the dynamics within this family. Waiting for the next book in this family's future.

    When Things Seem Bad . . .

It appears Gentry King has everything he could want. But since the death of his wife, he has only had one-night stands which he has felt compelled to stop when he saw that it had a bad effect on his sons. Kendall seems to always be struggling, with so many of her family depending on her. She loses her job, then finds her ex whom she was still living with has moved on to another woman, so she has to leave. So when she thinks she has a chance to interview for a higher-paying job, she is eager to comply, not knowing the man’s grandmother is manipulating her to marry her grandson, not to offer her a job. She is sent to the family's private jet to fly out with Gentry to meet Beck. But a snowstorm grounds them and the only hotel available for shelter for the next few days has a single room. Gentry keeps his distance from the woman who is to marry his son, especially with only one bed to share. There sure were lots of complications waiting to descend on Gentry and Kendall! It didn’t appear that anything was going right – or was it? Would Gentry and Kendall find a way to stay warm when the power goes out? What would Kendall do when she found out why she was really flying out to meet Gentry’s son? Would Gentry let her just walk away?
