  • Awesome

Great read, and a good laugh at the same time. Love that it’s a Canadian author to boot!

  • Hands down the best debut fantasy novel

Kings of the Wyld is an absolutely stunning debut novel. It has wit, humor, action, compassion, and a whole lot of fantasy nostalgia that stems from D&D, Dragonlance, LOTR, Wheel of Time, etc. If you love Fantasy, this book is a must read.

  • Must Have For Fantasy Lovers

I'd hoped I would love this book, but I didn't anticipate to love it as much as I do. And I LOVE IT. Books like this are the reason I love adventure fantasy so much. It is an addictive read that tells a compelling story, but at its core, is FUN. Pure, unrelenting fun. The story is an endearing quest story wherein retired monster hunters/mercenaries set out to find a missing daughter, and that quest is packed with more encounters and monsters than I could imagine. The book is packed with action and danger, as well as laughter and heart. The characters are a joy. The members of Saga are all unique, fierce, and fantastic. I honestly can't choose a favourite among them. I constantly cheered for them to overcome their endeavours. That said, I will confess that Kit is my favourite bard ever. Nicholas Eames clearly had a lot of fun writing this book. It's a labour of love, adventure, action, and absurdity. I truly cannot praise this book anymore. If fantasy or Dungeons & Dragons are things you enjoy, this book must be on your shelves. It's one of the funnest books I've read this year, and I cannot wait to dive into its sequel.

    Thanks for your feedback!
