    short but sweet

Another great story in the Sweetwater Springs series by Annie Rains. Lacy and Paris are like oil and water, but in this case the saying that opposites attract is the truth. After battling scoliosis as a child and being picked on and teased for wearing a brace, Lacy is a strong and determined woman. Paris, new to town, is recovering from a divorce and not looking for love. Somehow they find each other and make it work. Short but sweet story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher for my honest review.

    Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This was a wonderful short story. I adored Paris and Lacy and their journey to really accepting themselves and opening up to the possibly of a relationship. Even though I didn't wear a back brace in high school, I was bullied as well. I could see a younger version of myself in Lacy. I adored getting an inside look into the thoughts of both characters. This helped me to identify with Paris. I had loving parents so I didn't have the foster child background like he did. This story will make a dark dreary day a bright one. I was charmed by the plot and the wonderful story-telling. The only sad part was it ended way too early for me. This is a sweet charming story that anyone can read.

    Perfect romance!

First off, the cover is so pretty. It makes me wish I was there in the story with them. Secondly, I love that Lacy is a librarian and that it's a librarian/graphic designer romance. I love that it wasn't insta romance but it was a sweet kind of love that blossomed over time. I loved the named of the characters and the character descriptions. Paris definitely sounds like the type of guy I'd fall in love with myself. At 28, Lacy's character was easy to relate to and very enjoyable for me. Also, the character of Mr. Jensen with his wife and his supposedly gruff nature really hit home with me. Paris's kindness really spoke to me as well. I love that both he and Lacy are gentle, kindred souls. Even though they're two different people with varying interests, they come together just like pieces of a puzzle falling into place. 5/5 stars for a beautiful, wholesome romance that I will want to revisit time and time again.

A Wonderful Journey of Opposites Attract

A novella that encompasses so much! A sweet, clean read with some very tough and emotional pasts for both Lacey and Paris that very much affected them, tho in different ways . A journey of two very opposite characters who find and bring out the best in each other. The setting in Sweetwater Springs is so perfectly small town, and of course there are the busybodies just wanting to help lol. A super short, but meaningful read with an HEA that will have you sighing. Part of a wonderful series, but can stand alone. I received an advance reader's copy and am giving my honest opinions freely.

    DNF :(

I struggled with this book keeping my attention. I found myself skimming the pages and just reading the dialogue. I really wanted to finish the story and find out if Paris and Mr. Jenson would reconcile the past, but I just couldn't finish it. I don't feel like it is written very well. It seemed like it was written by a first time author, or a very young adult or teenager. This storyline has promise. I just think it needs further development. DNF. I was given an advance reader copy by NetGalley and I am voluntarily providing an honest review.
