    Loved this book!

Loved this book, as I have all Mariana's books. I really enjoy her character development, and the fact that these characters are very real. I get tired of reading books where the heroine is perfect in appearance at all times of the day and night and wakes up without bed head and bad breath! I liked that these characters actually got to know each other the good and the bad before anything romantic happens. I find Mariana's writing refreshing and can't wait to read more from her!

    GREAT BOOK

I am missing it already....such an awesome story....loved the characters. ..all of them. Sal was exceptional and gave Kulti the gift of redemption...she was strong and unwavering. ...refreshing when many lead female characters are made to look weak. I loved her humor..her dedication and loyalty....her dad was a hoot!

    Mixed emotions

I have a love-hate relationship with this book. I enjoyed the story line and the humor, but i found it to be very repetitive. Especialy in the beginning. I lost count of how many times i had to hear about Sal's oppession with Kulti when she was young. And how many times she said poop to distract herself from him. It was really funny the first couple of times, but became annoying as the book went on. All of the repetition made for an unnecessarily long book.

    Do dreams come true?

Salome had two big passions growing up---soccer and older super athlete Kulti. Now a good athlete herself, Kulti coaches her to better skills and a new sense of herself. This is lovely, intense storytelling with engaging characters, including the Casillas family.

    Great book

I enjoyed this book. It was a sweet story and kept me reading even when I was supposed to be asleep. I'll be looking for more Zapata reads.
