    Elicits Real Emotions!

Lady of Jeffrey Manor by J. S. Cole and Naleighna Kai is book four of the nine book Knights of the Castle series. This series is a spinoff of the Kings of the Castle series. The books in both series are standalones penned by various authors and can be read in any order. Blair Swanson has followed her aunt, Sheikha Ellena Khan, to the East Indian country of Durabia, seeking a better life for herself and her children. Hassan, the nephew of Sheikh Kamran Khan, is assigned to help Blair acclimate to her new environment and the cultural differences. In the process, Blair and Hassan develop a friendship that progresses to a romantic relationship. The couple has an uphill battle, as they are confronted with pain and secrets from her past, angst from her ex, prior obligations set for Hassan, and cultural and societal traditions forbidding their relationship. J. S. Cole and Naleighna Kai hit the mark again in this fourth installment of the Knights of the Castle series. Even though this is a standalone, the integrity of the series is maintained. The characterization is excellent. We get to know some familiar friends even better and are introduced to some vivid new additions. The plot and vibrant dialogue hold the reader’s attention throughout. This is a journey that elicits the full range of emotions, from sadness to joy. I give Lady of Jeffrey Manor 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it to all readers of romantic suspense and multicultural fiction. My thanks to Independent Publishers Group and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.
