    Predictable but Enjoyable

3.5 Stars The title of the book hints at a scandalous and sensual Lady Sarah but she is very far from that. Lady Sarah has spent the last five years making up for her past indiscretion, one with the potential to ruin her reputation and the latest scheme by her father and step-mother to make her pay involves giving her away in marriage to a very detestable and lecherous older gentleman. On a trip to Thorncliff Manor to meet her intended, she meets Christopher Heartly,Viscount Spencer. Christopher is obligated to marry but he is reluctant to do so because he has experienced heartbreak and is not willing to open himself up to that again. He finds himself spending time with Lady Sarah and convinced that she is scheming to trap him into marriage, he is quite rude to her. However, they gradually begin to enjoy each other’s company and Christopher is quite taken with the outspoken Lady Sarah. The story is predictable but an enjoyable one all the same as the main characters go from antagonists to friends to more. There is also the predictable cast of secondary characters – the insufferable parents, the eccentric older woman dispensing advice and manipulating the main characters for their own good and the odious and dirty older man. The pace is slow but steady and the heat level is quite tame. My only issue with the story was that for an outspoken and spirited person, Lady Sarah was uncharacteristically a doormat in her responses to her parents and her circumstance. In spite of that, LADY SARAH’S SINFUL DESIRES is a nice friends to lovers story and I will be checking out the rest of the series, especially for a story on Christopher’s younger brother Richard. *I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.*

I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Fantastic job of describing the characters and their emotions. Lord and Lady Andover, Sarah's parents, and Mr. Denison, the man she will have to marry are hateful. Sarah is so sweet, she does not deserve the way they treat her because of her mistakes. She is resigned to her fate, but then she meets Christopher and begins to secretly dream of a different future. What starts off as friendship soon turns to more with a little meddling from their hostess and his family. Christopher's sisters are great and his brother Richard is intriguing, I hope he gets his own story. Highly recommended - I can't wait for the next book in this series! ARC via Edelweiss
