    Spy romance and mystery

Maria Dalbrooke is a bluestocking, who is being raised by a single dad. She goes to work with her dad. and helps him with the translations and coding he does for the house guard. When he is suspected of leaking secrets to the French, Maria asks for time to prove he's innocent. Captain Geoffry Armitage has been given the assignment to find out who's leaking the military locations and strategy to the French. All the evidence, though circumstantial, points to Mr. Dalbrooke. His daughter wants to prove him innocent . But how could he explain them being together without a chaperone? How else, a fake engagement! The chemistry between them is instantaneous. With Maria determined to help Geoffrey doesn't have any choice. The two set out to find the leak. This leads to many adventures together. You see their relationship build and develop from there. All in all a very enjoyable book. Thank you to Netgalley for the chance to review this book.

    To Love A Spy

A delightful dance of two people trying to prove the other wrong in this Regency story set in London, 1813. Miss Maria Dalbrooke is a bluestocking wallflower. Yes, intelligence has it's drawbacks as far as the eligible men are concerned. She has been aiding her father, who works with the Horse Guards, which is really a breach in security but as long as nobody knows, what harm could it be? Unfortunately one, Captain Geoff Armitage, has been given the task to find out who has been leaking secrets from the very group her father is part of... With a few twists and turns, Maria ends up pretending to be betrothed so she can help him find the truth and show her father's innocence. But have I mentioned the Captain is swoon worthy? But determined. Weary due to being jilted. Very attracted to Maria. Fighting hard against it. Let yourself be taken away as you turn the pages to find out what happens with these two and if they find the real spy if she can convince him it is not her father!! Don't miss this one! I read this through NetGallery and the wonderful Publisher!

    Decent

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a decent historical romance. Captain Geoffrey is determined to bring down a traitor when he meets Maria at a party. She mistakenly overhears him speak about her father and gets caught. He is forced to play her fiance until they can find the true killer. I felt both Maria and Geoffrey had a lot of chemistry and I loved that Maria was a strong willed, smart heroine. She was determined to prove her father's innocence. I wasn't particularly taken with Geoffrey who still held his suspicions about Maria even after they made love. He seemed very conflicted and not the most reliable character. Overall the book was entertaining and we'll written.
