  • Very creepy

Very creepy, and such realistic medical horror. If body horror gets you, be careful reading this one - I'm so horrified by tooth related body horror and I was cringing and holding my own mouth in parts because I was so freaked out. I almost wish it was a little longer, I thought the end was good but a little abrupt.

  • Creepy!

I really wanted to love this book, but I wasn’t emotionally attached or that impressed. There is so much potential for a groundbreaking drama/horror with this thought provoking concept. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed the writing. I just missed some raw emotion. The “observers” felt very robotic, but I guess that’s how they should act, cold and unattached, after all they were just assessing the effect of the drugs used (on African Americans) during the experience. The creepy atmosphere is awesome, but the storyline gets a bit confusing and repetitive and there are lots of unanswered questions. The book is divided into two parts, the second being letters written to the main character’s sister, and although this part was my favourite I still thought that this work felt incomplete. Regardless, I would read her next work, as I see a great potential.

    Thanks for your feedback!
