Please come back more often Lee?

I missed you Lee, please try to come back more often. I really like this series - the one thing I find is that a lot of things stay the same through the books. While Lee and Pete seem to be in a comfortable ;place, I would like to see their relationship advance somehow. Also, a lot of things happen throughout the book with not much actually occurring until the last couple of chapters. It also would have been interesting to "see" the reunion - perhaps in the next book?

    Halloween in Salem, MA!

Lee Barrett is volunteering at the library and discovers a dead man in the stacks. Little does she know when she is asked by her boss to help plan the TV Station’s 70th anniversary celebration that the man murdered is also connected to WICH-TV. As Lee researches the station’s history and reaches out to past on air talent, she finds that she is also doing double duty by doing an investigative piece on the murder at the same time. With a hunky police detective as her boyfriend and a head librarian as her aunt, the three of them begin working together to connect the dots between the murder and the TV Station. But will the trio finger the murder before Lee is the next victim? I adore this series and Halloween in Salem is always a hit! The clever whodunit leaves quite a few red herrings and concludes by wrapping everything together and connecting all he dots. Another great entry in the Witch City Series.

    An excellent cozy paranormal!

I came to this series late, but I have read the last couple of novels. I really enjoy Salem and its residents as they are fun, hometown people. I just love that feel. The residents are all fun and quirky, too, though at times I feel Lee only interacts personally with Pete and her aunt Ibby. She needs more friends! This book has Lee knocked down to part time at the TV station, so she starts volunteering at the library where she comes across a body. Of course, she has to find the killer. While I really enjoyed this book, there were a couple of times it was a little repetitious, and the killer was fairly obvious. However, that didn’t spoil my enjoyment too much, and I’m looking forward to the next installment. Oh, and why can’t Lee see that O’Ryan has special abilities, at least from my point of view? LOL! Recommend! I was provided a copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

    Annother winner!

Loved this book! This is a wonderful murder mystery set in Salem and out just in time for Halloween. Lee is a reporter for the local news channel and Pete is her detective boyfriend, when Lee stumbles upon a dead body. She begins reporting on it, and investigating the deceased, even as Pete is investigating the homicide. As they investigate, Lee gets the chance to delve into the history of her news channel, along with beloved characters from her favorite shows when she was a young child. However, as one might expect, meeting your childhood idols is a mixed bag, both much better and much worse than one might expect. Add in the crazy costumes that they used to wear and weave in a compelling mystery and you've got a great tale that kept me completely engaged. Each book in this series is better than the one before. I love how the characters have grown and developed over the series and can't wait to read more about them. Each book is a stand alone novel. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. Put it at the top of your TBR as it's the must read seasonal release this fall. The author is on my must read authors' list.
