    Lawbreakers

I like that, Kat Bastion and brother Stone Bastion, let me review your books. I will try to do my best!I started this by your Cover using Stuart Reardon! I have followed him since he played rugby! I started reading and I got lost. I always do when the chapters go back and forth. I kept reading and I was still but, I ran into a story that is not really what I like. I kept on going. I am a person who can cry on a drop! This happened to me and I couldn't stop in lots. I am sorry Kat. I had to stop about there. I felt I was Shay. I wanted to get away with Ben. I still would like to read more books in the future. I hope you have made more readers for you.

    Ben & Shay

4.5stars When two people from completely opposite side meet and in an instant there is something more than just a meeting is an unexplainable urge to get to know the other person to the bottom of their souls, to know everything about eachother. A story about finding the one person who shows you that you can trust again to open up and with that giving them the power to hurt you or even better to love you. Both Ben and Shey are likable well-developed characters. What happens to Shay in the past is so sad and it was no wonder that she runs away. The week in which they exchange the side of how the other one live is really interesting passionate and we get to know them even more. Great intense, emotional story. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I am pretty sure I love Shay’s heart...

5 Stars Review by Leah Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Lawbreaker, Unbreakable book three, by Kat Bastion brought one of my favorite songs Lost Boy to life but flipped the script. This is my first book to read by Kat Bastion and it brought so many feels and it was more than the lovely dovey feels. I normally read more grittier, dark, crime books but this one hit home without all of that. It’s crazy, I know! Shay is a runaway. She has been living on the streets since she was just a kid. It just gut checks me thinking of a child living on the streets but Shay is a survivor. She not only looks after herself, she does all she can to help others like her. She is selfless to a fault. But there is always that little thought in the back of her mind of wanting to belong. Always looking in the windows of a warm family home wishing one day she would be the one looking out. Taking a chance on a normal job, working for a living rather than pickpocketing Shay finds herself face to face with Ben Bishop. Ben dealing with his own demons has issues when he first meets Shay. The last thing he needs is for someone to come in and bring more drama into his life or his business. Ben struggling with a codependent mother, father that screwed over hundreds of people is ready to snap and he does, right at Shay. Poor Shay was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Shay being the strong, independent type does not back down and there goes the "law abiding citizen" job. Ben finally gets Shay to agree to meet and the fun begins. Shay shows him her world little by little. Their escapades throughout the book is amusing. Shay getting the straight laced collar wearing golfer to loosen up takes a push. “I’m winning you over, crime by crime.” I loved reading about the different characters in this book. Especially the ones Shay would visit weekly with cash, food, clothing or whatever was needed. It made me want to dig into their stories more. I am pretty sure I love Shay’s heart, I wanna be like Shay when I grow up. He came to me with the sweetest smile, Told me he wanted to talk for awhile, He said, Peter Pan, that's what they call me, I promise that you'll never be lonely- Lost Boy, Ruth B.

    It’s an unputdownable slow burn

If you’re looking for a book that is not only heartwarming, but is also a perfect blend of wit, charm and smexyness, you can’t go wrong with a Kat & Stone Bastion novel. Lawbreaker, the third book in their Unbreakable series, is yet another wonderful, pull at your heart addition to their collection. Shay Morgan had to raise herself on the streets, stealing to provide not just for her but for the few she calls her own. And even though trust is not something that comes easily to her, a loving family is what she wants. She’s taken her first baby walking on the right side of the law by working at Loading Zone, where employees are like family. Ben Bishop grew up wanting for nothing, yet hating his parents and vowing to be the exact opposite of them. He upholds the law and helps others through his booming club Loading Zone. He never expected a gorgeous, sassy, Lawbreaker would come into his life and change it forever. As their battle of wits progresses, Shay and Ben slowly lower their defenses and start to trust one another. They make a one week deal where each bare themselves and their way of thinking to the other. When Ben’s father’s past is revealed though, together Ben and Shay are in a position to right the wrong. But if the line is crossed, will they be able to come back from it together? I’ve known since I picked up my first Kat and Stone book that theirs are true feasts and guaranteed to have you smiling because of the characters witty banter, loving their characters, and marveling at their stimulating plots and beautiful writing. I’m at a point where I’m sure I could pick out one of their books just by reading a snippet. They’re style is all their own and has a poetic cadence which I find entrancing. With Lawbreaker though, I took my time. I savored it. I would read the chapter titles and try to predict what was to come and then finish the chapter and just enjoy it. I even re-read a few because I simply didn’t want it to end. Beyond the banter between Ben and Shay, who dishes out as much as she gets, Kat and Stone once again create a seemingly impossible relationship. Even though they were similar in many profound ways, both battered yet determined, they were also on opposite spectrums of the law. And yet her being a Lawbreaker made Ben love her more because “she’d made it her life’s mission to help save the victims of the indifference.” This isn’t just a reverse Robin Hood, steal from the rich to give to the poor love story. Lawbreaker incorporates the important topic of our world’s abandoned and neglected citizens. Getting back to the romance though, I loved Shay and Ben’s. It was certainly unique. I’ve never read anything like it. It was also a bit wild with their strong personalities and difference of opinions, but it was also slow and sweet. Tender and sexy, and definitely touching. Finally, a Kat & Stone Bastion book wouldn’t be complete without cameo appearances from Cade, his sisters and other past characters. They complimented the story perfectly and helped Shay and Ben on their way to their HEA. Lawbreaker is standalone, full-length new adult romance by Kat & Stone Bastion. It’s an unputdownable slow burn, full of deliciously sweet and sexy moments. Written from both points of view with a happy ending.
