    Loved!

LOVED this story! The characters were so wonderful and seeing Liam and Andi get their second chance was amazing. Liam is just wonderful. Quiet, a bit introverted, totally dedicated. Andi is just as dedicated to her young son. Liam and Andi had dated before when her son's father came back to town and Andi decided she needed to give him a chance. Now Liam has a second chance and nothing is going to stop him from getting the life he's always wanted. A beautiful story and one you don't want to miss. I highly recommend it.

Leader of the Pack by Roxanne St Claire

Leader of the Pack by Roxanne St Claire Oh no! A nasty, selfish woman threatens to take away Andi's son. Because of a huge trust fund! That was my reaction when reading this remarkable contemporary romance. We can't have bad things happen in a romance! But of course, as in real life, unexpected complications occur. The best thing about romance fiction? You know the happy ever after will be strong and promising. And it's so worth it here. I admit, once or twice I was impatient with Andi, the heroine. She's turning him down again? Such agony and heartbreak for the hero! But oh, after a few tears, and craziness this book became the "ahhh, sigh" romance moment. I can't wait for the next one! I Love this author's delivery, and emotional enheartening. The below is from the six year old Christian - he has an idea. Jag is his dog. Excerpt: “I have an idea!” They threw a glance at each other, both aware that she’d just asked Liam for an idea, but he had a feeling Christian’s wasn’t going to help them. “What is it?” she asked. “You two should get married!” They both stared in stunned, shocked silence. “Then Jag would never leave!” He beamed at them, throwing up two hands like it was so obvious, how did these two clueless adults not see that? “Married.” Andi croaked the word and turned to Liam, her color high. “Imagine that.” Liam had. Every damn day since he met her. “I think that’s the best idea I’ve heard in a long time,” he said. “Yay!” Christian made a wobbly little turn and smacked right into Jag, giving him a huge hug. “It was Jag’s idea, really. He never wants to leave.” Off the two of them went, leaving Andi and Liam speechless.” Excerpt From: Roxanne St. Claire. “Leader of the P

    Leader of the Pack

This is book three of Roxanne St. Claire’s Dogfather Series, the story of the Kilcannon family’s oldest son, Liam, and the woman he has loved for three years, Andi. Liam, a former Marine, is the K-9 trainer at the family business, Waterford Farm in Bitter Bark, NC. He’s formed an attachment to his trainee, Jag, a German Shepherd intended for a place in law enforcement and has a hard time letting him go claiming he’s just not ready yet. Andi is an architect working in Bitter Bark, NC. for the town’s new tourism program and helping local businesses to make improvements. She dated Liam briefly three years ago but ended the relationship after a month when her son’s father returned to town. She felt it was best for her 6 year old son, Christian, to have his dad in his life. Even though she didn’t love him, they lived together for their son’s sake. Two years after Christian’s father was killed in a car accident, someone broke into her home and Liam thought it would be a good idea to loan her his dog, Jag. It wasn’t long before Christian and Jag bonded and once again, Liam was in her life. Except she didn’t want another relationship that may end and leave Christian feeling abandoned again. She told herself it was best for her son but found it hard to resist Liam. When her past came calling and threatened to take her son, she allowed Liam back into her life...with certain conditions. I really enjoyed this book and found Liam one heck of a great guy. I liked Andi but found her to be over the top protective of her son, which I understand, but thought she needed to loosen up and let Liam into her life instead of pushing him away while wanting him at the same time. My favorite guy was Christian. Smart and inquisitive, he is the highlight of this book. I recommend Leader of the Pack as I do the whole series, especially for all you dog lovers. This is an outstanding series that you will love. Cover photos of this series are not models, but real life guys with their rescues. A portion of the proceeds from the first month’s sales of each book go to the Alaqua Animal Refuge in Roxanne’s home state of Florida. Win-win for readers and pups.

    Loved!!!

I've adored each of the books in The Dogfather series so far. I honestly love each family member in the Kilcannon clan, but have extra special love for the Dogfather, Daniel. I love how he is set on finding mates for each of his children and was so glad to get Liam's story with Leader of the Pack. I loved every single thing about Leader of the Pack. I loved that Liam is so much like his dad that he knew as soon as he met Andi three years ago; she was the woman for him. Andi and Liam had the best chemistry and I loved that Liam really had waited around for Andi. While the reason they started seeing each other again wasn't ideal, her house being broken into and needing protection, I loved that Liam stepped up in every way possible. He was so sweet to teach Andi's son Christian how to handle Jag, the guard dog Liam brings to help keep both Andi and Christian safe. I have to say I adored watching Christian come out of his shell the more time he trained with and was around Jag. I somewhat understood Andi's hesitancy to have a man in her life after her ex had left her life and his loss had been so huge for their son Christian. However, I also knew she was so attracted to Liam and I didn't get her not being happy just to protect her son. I love that Liam connected so well with Christian through Jag and loved watching Liam, Andi, and Christian move towards being a real family. I also loved seeing Liam and Andi connecting on every level and becoming a real couple. Seriously Liam and his love for Andi and Christian was so freaking sexy. There were several twists and turns along the way in Leader of the Pack. Some I saw coming, others I didn't. I loved how protective Liam was of both Andi and Christian. I also loved that Christian had Jag to protect him at all times. I felt so many emotions along with the characters as I read Leader of the Pack and I loved every single minute of the story. Leader of the Pack is another winner in the Dogfather series from Roxanne St. Claire. The romance between Andi and Liam was beautiful to see grow into a real relationship. I also loved watching Andi, Christian, and Liam become a real family. I also loved all the time we got to spend with the Kilcannon clan. I fall more and more in love with this family with each new book in the series. Ms. St. Claire once again gives her readers an amazing romance that will keep her readers coming back for more. Great second chance at love!

At almost 40 years old, Liam Kilcannon is the oldest child of Daniel Kilcannon. Liam is a former marine who now handles the K-9 training of the dogs at Waterford Farm, along with the elite schutzhund training. The family has always joked that Liam likes dogs better than people! Liam doesn't show much emotions and the one time he let his walls down and thought he found "the one", his heart was crushed into a million pieces when she left him for the father of her son who recently showed back up. Andi Rivers was falling in love with Liam when all of a sudden Jeff Scott, the father of her son, came back into their lives wanting to be a father. Even though Andi was never in love with Jeff, she decided to give him a chance. Now it has been two years since Jeff was killed in a car accident and Andi has her sights on Liam. Being a single, working mom, Andi is just looking for some "fun" time, but when Liam realizes that is all that Andi wants he turns her down because he really wants more....MUCH more. Andi's afraid to bring another man into her 6 year old son Christian's life because he was so affected when he lost his father that she couldn't bear her son going through that hurt again. When someone breaks into Andi's house, Daniel Kilcannon "Dogfather's" his way into getting Liam to convince Andi that she needs a dog for protection. Liam's current trainee, Jag would be perfect. Jag hasn't quite reached full schutzhund level training but he is close and he would be perfect for the job. When an estranged relative shows up, informing Andi that Christian will be inheriting 6 million dollars because Jeff's mother has passed away, the relative also informs Andi that she will be fighting for adoption of the child. This bit of news spooks Andi to the point that she looks to Liam for help. This is where the fun begins!!!!! The entire Kilcannon group bands together in their over-the-top, laugh out loud ways and by the end of their plan, it looks like Andi and Liam are going to get married because it would help the adoption case. Of course, Liam would do anything for Andi, even going so far as to pretend to be in love wanting to quickly get married. As Liam and Andi start to spend more time together, the pretending doesn't seem so hard anymore. When danger starts lurking around Andi's house, Liam and Jag are at the ready. It was really interesting to see how these types of dogs are trained to behave. After a great "didn't see that one coming" reveal, all hell breaks loose. This was such a great romance of second chances with a really great little mystery added in. I really liked Andi. She was such a hard working, single mom that you just couldn't help but wish that her and Liam get back together. And I really just adored Liam. He was one of these quiet, silent types who you think really don't have many emotions, but you quickly realize that he is just exploding with emotions. The scene with his dad in his dad's bedroom was sooooo emotional and I just loved it. Overall another awesome story with such a great, fun family!
