  • Emerson wolves 5

No matter how hard she tried, Kimber Gray always seemed to manage to get knocked back down a peg or two. She was a top rate chef and graduated at the top of her class, but no matter how hard she tried no one would acknowledge it. Now, blackballed in the only profession she knew, she was a failure to the one that mattered most—her daughter, Hannah. With no recourse left to her, she’d have to grovel and beg her aunt for help. Loved it keeps u intrigued and keeps your interest from start to finish

  • Lee & Kimber

It's amazing how much a person will do to keep what they think belongs to them. Kimber has had a tough life. Trying to make her dreams and live up to someone her mother would be proud of is proving to be more difficult that Kimber thought. When she must return to the U.S. she discovers her aunt is more than just a mean bitter old woman and the extent she went to keep the money will change Kimber's life forever. Lee's been traveling and helping restaurants around the world for so long without a break he's exhausted. So to be back home is a breath of fresh air. When he makes a promise to Addie's aunt Lady Mantle to help a woman he's in for big changes in his life when she turns out to be his mate. With the help of the Emerson's Kimber will find out the full cruelty of her aunt and how far she went to control Kimber.

  • I started to question her thoughts!!!

I'm going to say this. I don’t know many people who haven't at one time or another in their life, felt like they were fighting to take one step forward and four back and that's exactly how Kimber described her life. It seemed like ever since her mom died she's fought tooth and nail for every step she's taken trying to better not only herself but the life she was trying to provide for her daughter. Lee, our chef in the making, has decided he really enjoys the end process of critic and helping failing restaurant owners improve their business even though he still enjoys cooking. I know I say each book just seems to get better and better but this one completely brought all the feels. I've never read a shifter story that took a twist like this. Ms. Barton completely broke my heart and brought me to tears. Just before I started questioning her thoughts, she gave me a glorious scene that left me a bit breathless. So much going on in this storyline and I'll admit, it's been the most intense, sigh-worthy book of the series to date.
