    Supernatural Momma!

Let It All Burn is the start of what I hope will be a long series. This first installment sets up all the history and backstory of Darcie and her family. We get to learn that she is an amazing mother of three kids and family means the world to her. She’s in her early forty’s and is in perimenopause with the most wicked of hot flashes. Most of this book is the lead up to what happens at the end, and gives us an insight of what we might expect in the following books. I really liked Darcie, she was someone that we of this age bracket could relate too. I felt she had a little chip on her shoulder and was very wary of men in general, but who can blame her with that Ex husband. Her kids are something she does take pride in and that’s mainly her doing. Another element to the household is Nana Stella, she is a hoot! Life is meant to be lived with that woman. There are other secondary characters, best friend and cousin as well as a very intriguing agent. Hope to read more of him in the next book. DGS takes time in her novels to bring about not only a storyline that will keep us interested but the history to back up her clever mythical ideas. This book is not heavy or dark with the fantasy and if you like Greek mythology, you’ll get a kick out of this. If you love any of DGS characters, you will see that same flow happening in this book too. This is well worth the read.

When midlife throws you a curve, rise above it all

Any of my fellow books lovers out there love an awesome paranormal romance? You need this book. I know that I say that a lot but it’s simply because Denise Grover Swank is a phenomenal author. Her writing technique crosses genres and you really can’t go wrong with any of her books. But this particular series holds a special place in my heart because she along with 12 other amazing authors have banded together to create the Paranormal Women’s Fiction #PWF movement to represent women in the prime of their lives. Not in their 20s, not in their 30s, but the women of their 40s and even 50s who may be down but are far from out. Y’all this book is everything and so much more! The story flowed effortlessly and held my interest throughout since I could relate to a lot of the chaos going on in Darcie’s life. It was funny, meaningful, and down right inspirational. I loved it and how it represents a genre so few dare to venture into. Midlife women. #DeniseGroverSwank #DGS #ParanormalRomance #MidlifeBites #PWF #Fab13 #ParanormalWomensFiction

    Great new series!! Fantastic start.

This new book is amazing!! It had a bit of everything in it!! I laughed so much while reading, “Let it all burn” by most of the characters. I mean laugh out loud laughing in public. I love Darcie, Nana Stella and the kiddos. While the main character was a older character, I was still able to connect with her. Darcie is a phenomenal character, and I love how she evolves to being her own, strong, empowered role model to her family in the first book! I’m honestly still reeling from everything that I learned. I’m looking forward to reading the next installment!!
