    More Entertainment Than Humans....

Should be allowed. This is the most recent Letterman biography and history of his three network TV shows. A good inside portrait of the trials ands tribulations of producing a hit late night talk show. You get a good sense for the ups and downs of his production and writing staff and indeed Letterman himself. It is a fair account, relying on interviews with the major players, including Letterman and Merrill Markoe. It goes over a lot of previously covered ground, but its most intriguing content is covered in the emotional state of the host over all the years. It seems counterintuitive for a someone to be able to be this self-critical and yet able to excel in the nightly grind that is the late night talk show. Well done Mr. Zinoman
