  • A Must Read For Romantic Suspense Lovers!

Lies That Bind Us by K.L. Clare is a dark romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber. This is the first book in All The Lies Duet. This is the first book of K.L.'s that I have read it definitely won't be my last. She did an amazing job pulling me into the story. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Will and Ellie. Their relationship is not easy but you can help but root for them. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Her Lovely Lies. Erin and Zachary did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future. I would recommend this book if you love romantic suspense or dark romance. Audiobook Obsession Reviewer

  • Lies that bind us

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, a little bit annoying when she doesn’t always listen but I suppose that’s part of their story

  • Too much sex.Not enough depth

The main characters started off well but then the answer to everything seemed to be in depth descriptions of dominance and submission through sex.Shame as the basic plot was good. Will and Elle not credible characters.

  • Concept good, otherwise…

I was excited for the idea and as the plot began to unfold. I love Ellie as a character, even if I was underwhelmed for her, and Will’s dominance wasn’t oppressive. Unfortunately, there just wasn’t enough there to get me to a point where I found the relationship believable or long-lasting. I ended the book feeling like the love was more trauma bonding than anything else. We’ll see how the follow-up book does to help solve for that.

    Thanks for your feedback!
