Romance with a mystery to be solved

Life's Turned Upside down is a thoroughly enjoyable romantic read with a mystery to be solved. Gabby and Ashton started off on the wrong foot and there was strong animosity between them, reducing both of them to childish attitudes. Ashton's constant teasing of Gabriella by mispronouncing her name riled her up, and Gabby's blundering accidents keep Ashton off kilter. However, when the chips are down, the Alvarez family stand by Ashton, and Gabby takes a personal interest in unlocking Ashton's past. Ashton's childhood was one I could strongly identify with, as I was sent to boarding school as a 10-year old in another country. I too spent school vacations at school and only went home once a year because it was too far to travel. It is no wonder that Ashton became uptight and abrasive. However with the Alvarez family's constant support, Ashton begins to unwind and learn about becoming part of a caring community. Having read the previous books in the series, neither Ashton nor Gabriella were my favourite people, however in this book they both redeemed themselves and became people I would like to meet. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Both need to overcome the haunting of the past to be able to do anything about the the undeniable chemistry between them. This story has well developed, realistic and well defined characters. The storyline has drama, mystery, secrets, deceit, betrayal, forgiveness and love all wrapped up to produce a very interesting and enjoyable read. I volunteered to read Life's Turned Upside Down. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.

Life is not always what it R.E.M.'s

I sat today and read this from start to finish😀 I hope the author will figure out what character to go with to continue this series. Each of the three books in the series can be read alone but I admit I am glad I have read all three now!! Anne Stone's characters are real life people, blemishes and all. Gabriella and Ashton both have baggage that contributes to their fiery relationship. It is a great story of family, love and happily ever afters😀😀. I received a free copy of this book and chose to write a review.

    A slow cha cha

Ashton is finally starting to fit in with the family after his rocky start when Max was sick. Well fitting in with everyone except Gabriella. But that isn't the only problem. These two do a slow cha cha around each other a few steps forward a few back in and out I almost got dizzy. It is an emotional story that draws more from this author than I have seen in the other books of this series. It is a clean read that pulls at your heartstrings. The story of these two is one you will not want to miss.

    Loving every moment.

Ashton is a by the book personality. He follows the rules without listening to what he feels. Gabriella listens to her heart. But refuses to follow it's directions. Less chance of getting hurt. From the first, there is always an undercurrent of attraction between Gabriella and Ashton but a hint of fear tinges the sparks. Fate has other plans. Life's Turned Upside Down is my first Anne Stone novel, but it will not be my last. She has no qualms about putting her heart in her writing. Gabriella and Ashton were no cake walk with their hidden secrets and surface aloofness, but their drama got a reaction. As I reader, I was captivated, emotionally invested and loving every moment. That's what makes a good story.
