    Stormy Romance

Light romance with hints of Tornadoes! This is a part of the Compass Boys Series #4 but it read easily as a stand alone. Characters Doug, TJ, and Rosalia were love worthy and the story that was told by Carr moved along as a nice pace. Full of heart that at one point brought tears to my eyes. Be aware that this is an adult story with the bedroom in the forefront more than one scene. Loved the Cowboy Cover too. "A copy of this book was provided by Kobo Writing Life via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

    A Sexy MMF Romance

This is my first book by either Mari Carr or Jayne Rylon, but the blurb got my attention so I thought I would take a chance. I'm so glad that I did! Light as Air was a really sexy MMF romance! It's the last book in the Compass Boys series (as well as the Compass series overall), but can be enjoyed as a standalone. Characters from all the previous books do appear though. I loved how Doug, TJ, and Rosalia were each the missing piece for each other. There wasn't a time when anyone felt like the third wheel. They all truly loved and cared for each other. Yes, it's not a conventional relationship, but it worked so well between the three of them. Their chemistry was scorching hot and I liked that there wasn't any unnecessary drama between them. The push and pull and the obstacles they face were realistic and honest. I do wish the book had been longer so we could have developed the characters a bit more and seen further into the future, but it's possible Doug (and TJ) were already firmly established in the previous books. I think if I had read the original Compass Brothers series I would have appreciated the epilogue a lot more, but it was sweet and seemed to bring the series full circle. I look forward to going back and reading the previous books in the series. *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

    Ending as it began

Full circle, that is what this book was, the epilogue matches the prologue from the first book, and made me smile for a peek with the family we've followed for so long Now, for the story of Doug, this pulled a few tears right from the start. When we last saw Doug, he was a pre-teen set on the rodeo. Now, he is a storm chaser, so we find out why right away. Then we learn about his best friend, TJ. TJ will break your heart, and Doug will give you hope. We add in Rosa, yes, we are getting our Compton menage, and it is perfect. Rosa is a scientist, a doctor, and she is who is the real storm chaser. Doug tapes, Rosa chases, and TJ is along for the ride this time Rosa has kept to herself all her life. Between being the only girl with six brothers, working in her families restaurant, and burying herself in her studies, she resisted Doug's advances. A slight health scare has her ready to step up, but TJ adds to the mix. Doug and Rosa know each other well, and he is ready once he sees the change in her, but convincing TJ takes a bit. TJ hasn't had the best life, and letting that go to live his own takes some change in thoughts for him Hopeful and sexy, these three were the perfect way to close off the Comptons story!

Definitely goes to the top of my recommend list!

This is book 12 in the Compton family Saga by Mari Carr and Jayne Rylon, and book 4 in the Compass Boys series. This book is about Doug (Seth & Jody's son, from Southern Comfort), his best friend TJ, and a sweet Italian girl, named Rosalia. Doug is so many things, resilient being the first that comes to mind. He took the ending of his dreams and turned it around, with the help and encouragement of his amazingly supportive family, making it into a new dream that eventually leads him to his future. He is also dependable, and reliable, as evidenced by his continued support and encouragement of TJ. He knows TJ's life is not what it should be, and tries everything he can to pull him away from the train wreck his life has become, despite TJ's reluctance. TJ, on the other hand, is so mired in his father's mess that he can't see his way clear. But he still managed to grow up to become an amazing man, despite his horrible upbringing. Rosalia is just plain amazing! She is open, and accepting, and her sunny outlook on life makes this trio one that grabs my heart! This book was simply amazing! I couldn't help but fall in love with everyone of the Comptons, and Doug, Rosalia and TJ were no exception. I loved watching them find their way to each other, as well as catching up with the lives of the other Comptons. Every time I read a book by one of these two authors, I am surprised all over again at how much I love their books! The chemistry, the connection, and the love that follows their characters pull readers in and won't let them go. I've loved all of the Compass books, and am sad to see their stories come to an end. This amazing world has shared so much love with so many, and it was wonderful to watch the family grow, and evolve. This series is definitely on the top of my recommend (and re-read) list!

    Emotional and Steamy Read

Light as Air by Mari Carr. This is Doug, TJ, and Rosalia’s story. This is the final book in the Compass Family series and the fourth book in the Compass Boys series. Doug, TJ, and Rosalia’s story is an entertaining, emotional, heartwarming, and steamy read. I love how the authors make the characters feel so real. This story hooked me from the beginning to the end. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. FYI, contains mature content.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book via Booksprout.
