    Perfect start for Rock Royalty

The kids who have grow up and ate the Rock Royalty have put the disc in disc functional. You have 3 family's or some what family's who are so disc functional they can't see what is in front of them! Like love!

Fun start for a new series!

I was intrigued by the premise of 9 children of a rock group when I read the summary. And, now that I’ve read the first book in the series, I can’t wait to get to the next book. This was the story of Cilla and Ren, the oldest and youngest of the children. The rock group lived in a compound with their separate houses but intertwined lives while their parents led wild rock star lives. The Rock Royalty children grew up together, but not related by blood. I enjoyed the push and pull between Cilla and Ren and the way that their characters developed.

    I Just Kept Reading!

I just kept reading and then suddenly I was done! It was a very good book! It took the glam of Rock and Roll and made the people real. I am looking forward to the next book!

    Burn baby Burn

Paper, paper, paper! I am a diehard book in hand, smell the paper, don’t fold the corners because authors deserve more respect than that –kind of person. I had searched high and low for this series and struggled with it only being an ebook (until recently with book 1). And I LOVE Christie Ridgway books! All of that being said I couldn’t stand the detachment much longer and downloaded the ebook so I could read it  Whew! So worth it! I absolutely adored this book. In true Ridgway fashion the plot was expansive and revealing, the romance was simmering, complicated, sweet and explosive! The character development was in depth and pulled in secondary characters without making the story choppy but instead re-established a broken family unit and revealed the characters so that you can’t wait to read their stories. I often found myself grinning and laughing and then wanting to smack Ren upside the head lol. For all of his struggles he is a truly heartwarming, caring loving man that sweet Cilla deserves. Hot, Hot, Hot chemistry between main characters Priscilla and Renford (Cilla & Ren) continues to grow as they each work through a shared dysfunctional childhood that has brought them together, yet left each of them with personal struggles to overcome. Two of nine children fathered by the three founding musicians of The Velvet Lemons, the two are brought together by the death of their aging hippie mother figure/slash band groupie who raised them. Ren and Cilla are strong characters with charming emotional depth between them. The secondary story line introduces the remaining 7 ‘Lemon kids’ and begins to dive into their relationships and personalities creating an interest and curiosity in their stories. Ridgway is skilled at weaving family and friends through her books so you feel like you get know each and no one is forgotten. As you read her additional books in a series she continues to bring all of the past and present characters to life and builds on future characters creating a beloved group of characters you feel a part of.

Interesting view of growing up in the fast lane.

I thought the author did a good job with her character development of the principle characters . The problems they gave in their lives with relationships seem very believable. I think readers will be able to identify with their doubts. It will be interesting to read what she does with the other books she has written.
