    Thanks for your feedback!

A great addition to the series

I have followed Rebecca's writing career over recent years and have had the pleasure of reading all her published works. In those years I have seen her develop and perfect her craft and with this release her writing has reached a new level of maturity and storytelling. In "Lightning and Power" we pick up on the story of Violet, the investigative necromancer, and the temporally displaced Simon, struggling to find his place in his new "time". With work being a little Violet is pleased to have the opportunity of a new case and soon is off to New York in pursuit of answers. With trusted side-kick Simon by her side it's not long before they find themselves being dragged into more than they bargained for, but then again they should be used to things by now! That said there are one or two surprises to be had in "Lightning and power" and you are soon being dragged along for the ride. I am not one for spoilers so I will say no more, but i will say the rollercoaster ride continues, so hold on tight. Rebecca's writing style has gone up a gear in this book. She present real character that exist in a world that just feels right. Whilst all the main characters you have come to love in the earlier books are present, it nice to see the two main characters develop further and we are able to learn more about them individually and their relationships with others. This book kept me company on a five and a half hour train journey the other day and I am glad to say I knew nothing of the journey, but enjoyed my time in "lightning and Power" with Violet and Simon. I can easily recommend this book to anyone who enjoy's the genre, but don't read this without reading books 1 & 2 first.
