  • Just... Wow

Incredible. Incredible. I N C R E D I B L E. One of those books that deserve all the recognition in the world, required reading at least. Heartfelt, heart-warming, heart-bursting, heart-breaking. An ode to the power of love, every rendition of it. Read immediately if you are prepared for the un-put-down-able h e a r t of it all.

  • Like a Love Story

This book is so moving. I was a bit worried that I’d hate it because of the conflict described in the publisher’s information, but this book is so much better than the blurb. It’s a big book that takes us into the heart of the fight for treatment for AIDS and the experience of watching your friends and acquaintances die one after another. It’s about the ways prejudice plays out in ordinary, everyday life and the cost of lying about who you are in order to stay safe. It’s about appreciating the people in your life, fighting for what’s right, friendship, families, the experience of growing up in all of its confusion and complexity, and mostly it’s about learning to love one another and ourselves, both when it’s hard and when it’s easy.

    Thanks for your feedback!
