    Fun dialog and engaging characters

The appeal of Ms. Proby's writing lies not just in the romantic connection between her couples, but also in the relationships and interactions among all the characters and she delivers some of her best work in LISTEN TO ME. Addison Wade has a type when it comes to her men - tatted bad boy musicians and unfortunately for her, the misfortune of picking the wrong guy every time. When her latest boyfriend cheats on her, she decides to take a break from relationships and regroup but her resolve is severely tested by the former rock-star who just signed up to be the musical talent at the restaurant she owns with her four best friends. Jake Keller walked away from a successful career five years ago but has always longed to return to basics with his music, so this gig is exactly what he needs but the excitement of landing it pales beside his attraction to Addie. Jake and Addie are both very confident, strong and independent people and I enjoyed the ease of this story and their chemistry, both in and out of the bedroom. I like that they became friends as well as lovers and I really enjoyed their banter. Both of them have major baggage which they let get in the way of what they have, but with the help of their friends they are able to deal with and get past their issues. Jake is a really smooth operator and knows just what to say and the right moves to make every time, but he is also very sweet and caring. And he knows just how to grovel, too. I love that Addie respected herself a lot and did not accept less than the best, which was exactly what she gave too. I love the premise of this series and the fact that it focuses on the five friends. It can be difficult working with friends, but it's easy to see how tight their bond is and how their business runs like a well-oiled machine. Overall, this story is a really feel good one, with fun dialog, enjoyable, engaging characters and little angst, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. This series is off to a promising start!

Jake is easily likable. He used to be famous, but he walked away from the lime light after a tragedy. He still loves music and continues to work with it, but he no longer since. Then one night, he just grabbed the microphone in Seduction, and was lured into his old love. It didn’t hurt that he gets to work with a woman who makes him feel alive again. Addison has been burned before – by bad boys who are musicians. There was no way she was going to risk her heart once again. Not especially with someone who was as famous as Jake, and who’s face adorned the posters on her walls growing up. If Jake was really determined to have Addison, Addison was fighting tooth and nail to resist him. If you read Jake, and how he tries to woo and tease her, you’d know this wasn’t an easy feat. Just as she was lowering his walls, Jake’s past caught up with him. Will both of them be able to let go of their past and take a risk for their future? This series is off to a promising and exciting start with its first book: Listen to Me. This is Kristen Proby and I haven’t been disappointed in any of her books. This won’t be the first. I was glad it met my expectations. It was a great, amazing read: right amount of steam, romance and drama.

    "Love at first Sight".

Kristen Proby as an author has always been someone whose work I wanted to try. When the chance presented itself I jumped at it. Listen to Me is light hearted, sensual fun. The bond between friends plays a big part in this story and I liked how Ms. Proby brought the readers attention to that throughout. Amidst the female bonding the story predominately centers around Jake and Addie getting to know each other and working on creating their own special bond. The best way to describe my reaction is "Love at first Sight". I received an ARC of Listen to Me by Kristen Proby in exchange for an honest review. With it's inviting characters, united community and tempting plot, this could be the start of a beautiful new friendship for me. Impressive.
