    Intense

This was a fantastic book. There was so much history woven through the fabric of this book. I will definitely read it again, in fact cannot wait to read the other books he has written. My only complaint was that at that at times it became difficult to follow the families, perhaps due to the fact that the novel covers almost 2000years of London's history.

    Another great one...

First New York, now London. Just amazing! So vivid. So emotional.

    Great read

Fantastic blend of fiction and history. The city of London is clearly the main character but all the people that populate this novel, and the city itself, are as engaging and memorable as the fantastic history of this amazing city. Really wonderful read.

    The Best in Historical Fiction

Edward Rutherfurd's London is a novel that spans centuries and is etched so finely I felt I had lived through all of it. Rarely do I read books twice, but I plan to do so with all of Edward Rutherfurd's books. There is so much history and the evolution of various families throughout, I want to visit them - and re-live them - again!

    London

As always, Rutherford does a fantastic job weaving families though the generations. I love how family traits show up throughout, and how well researched his books are. He uses terms typical to the times with an explanation of what they mean. I have learned a lot of historical facts while enjoying the fictional aspects.
