    What a wonderful book!

What a wonderful book this turned out to be! Jill Shalvis is quickly becoming one of my favorite contemporary romance authors because her books are consistently good. This book was even better than I could have hoped. I was grabbed by the story right away and it just kept getting better. I ended up reading most of the book in a single day because I just couldn't put it down. It was one of those books that left me with a big grin when I reached the conclusion and was an utter delight to read. Quinn is the main focus of this story. She is getting by one day at a time and not really feeling much of anything after the sudden death of her sister. She gets some unexpected news that turns her whole life upside down. She has some really big decisions to make that will have a lasting impact not only on herself but on other people as well. I liked Quinn a lot. She was resilient and cared about other people deeply. Mitch is in Wildstone trying to help his mother get her house in order. His constant companion is an aging Golden Retriever named Coop. Along with Coop, Mitch runs into Quinn when she is having an emotional moment and something just seems to click. They run into each other again later on and just seem to hit it off. Mitch was such a great character and I loved everything about him. He really fit with Quinn very well and they had some wonderful chemistry. The story was really well balanced. This book had a wonderful romance in it but it wasn't just a romance. Quinn had some other things going on that were just as life changing. I really liked that this story was so complex and full. The secondary characters were wonderfully done. There was even a bit of humor that gave the story an element of fun. I would highly recommend this book to others. This was a really great story about love and completely rediscovering yourself. I am really excited that this book is the beginning of a new series because I am already looking forward to spending more time with the people of Wildstone. I received an advance reader edition of this book from William Morrow Paperbacks via Edelweiss.

    Contemporary Women's Fiction

Lost and Found Sisters by Jill Shalvis Wildstone #1 Jill Shalvis is an author that has never let me down. I love her writing style, the characters she creates and the stories she tells. She never lets me down. In this book Quinn, a sous-chef in Los Angeles, seems to have it all and everything going for her. She has a great job, loving parents and a man that would love to marry her. BUT, she really has been going through the motions without moving forward with her life since her sister died two years before the story begins. Little does she know that a stranger she encounters while waiting to order coffee one morning will tell her something that will impact her life in a way that will see her confronting her parents, taking a trip to Wildstone and then dealing with an unexpected inheritance. She will grow, take on responsibilities, find love, make friends and find her way forward in a direction she would never have considered had she not talked to that stranger in the coffee shop. I won’t give away the story line. As the author said in her newsletter, “I have a new book coming out. It’s a bigger book than I’ve written before but don’t worry, it’s still got the Shalvis heat and humor and romance (actually two romances!), PLUS a sister thing.” And, once again the author has created a novel that I could not put down. It left me happy but also eager to find out what will happen next in Wildstone. I loved the epigraphs from Tilly’s journal – they were a delight and hit home in so many ways. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, highly recommend it and would like to thank the author for the ARC shared with me for review purposes. This is my honest review. 5 Stars

Loved all the secrets and the humor.

Great book about woman finding out a lot of secrets her family has kept from her and finding her way thru them all. So glad Quinn was able to find true happiness with Mick and her new sister Tilly. Wish she could have known her birth Mother but maybe Tilly will tell her about her. I have always loved this author and look forward to more in this series.

    Wonderful Story!

Lost and Found Sisters by Jill Shalvis Series: Wildstone, Book 1 4 Stars - I quite enjoyed this story. I was hesitant because there was talk of her writing a different type of book but this was very much a Shalvis book and I wasn't disappointed. Mick and Quinn were great together. I enjoyed watching Quinn work through her new relationship with Tilly. There were some good laughs and some touching moments. I happily recommend this book.
