    A fabulous read!

I read Lost in the Light and loved it and so I was really looking forward to being back with Dori again in Lost in Whispers. The paranormal side of the novel is captivating! There is a ghost named Roslyn who is drawn to Dori and actually gets inside of her so that Dori can feel what she feels and experience bits of her previous life. Roslyn’s history is fascinating and her attachment to Dori makes for an intriguing ride. Dori is told that Roslyn is not like other ghosts and she certainly is not. The mystery of Roslyn will keep readers guessing until the powerful ending. Along with her paranormal troubles, Dori has real life difficulties to deal with. She moves in with her boyfriend Gavin and learns to become a stepmom to his daughter Bella. Bella’s mother, an addict and a danger to the girl, complicates an already complicated situation. And then there is Dori’s coworker who is inappropriate toward women, but he is the only person in her life who also sees ghosts. The uncomfortable relationship is one she wants to break from and yet he is someone she might need help from. Though there is a lot of intensity throughout the story, Dori’s funny, outspoken Grammy and her best friend Meg offer wonderful moments of comic relief. All of these dynamics are tied together in a very well-written novel filled with mystery and intrigue as well as romance. It’s a page-turner and the kind of book that pulls you so deep into the story, you feel like you are really there. Each morning I read a few chapters and I couldn’t stop thinking about it all day. It’s a fabulous read!

    A good paranormal read

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was a great paranormal book that had me entertained for hours. I had a difficult start with this book because it is not the first book in the series, but once I got reading it I enjoyed it. I am looking forward to reading the books in this series and I am glad I discovered a new author. Thank you for allowing me to read this book and write a review.
