    Childhood Crush Romance

"Love from Left Field" by Megan Ryder is book number two in the "Knights of Passion" series. This is Miranda Callahan and Lucas Wainright's story. Miranda and Lucas have a history. Growing up Miranda had a secret crush on Lucas. Lucas' dad used to own the Knights baseball team and Miranda's dad bought it from him. Lucas has always felt that Miranda's dad, Seamus Callahan, stole the team from his dad. Miranda's dad is a very active owner. Pretty much it's his way or the highway. The Knights baseball team is in trouble. Lucas has been assigned by the league to supposedly help turn the team around. If the team doesn't make the loan payment, the team will be sold. Is Lucas out for revenge? I really enjoyed Miranda and Lucas' characters. The chemistry between them was incredible. Will they take a chance on love? Will secrets and misunderstandings prevent them from having a chance at love? FYI, includes mature content. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

    Love from Left Field

I am not a sports fan but I really enjoy the descriptions of all the baseball things in this second book. Miranda is the President of the Georgia Knights baseball team that her father owns. Numbers have been falling and help is needed. Lucas enters the picture as a consultant and someone Miranda used to know. I love how well matched these two are and their chemistry is sizzling hot! A great addition to the series. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

a pressure cooker of ego, tension and testosterone

Love From Left Field is a pressure cooker of ego, tension and testosterone. Miranda has a lot on the line. Her family name, her father's love and her belief in herself as a businesswoman. Fighting for a place in the male dominated sports world will not be easy but dispelling all the naysayers is what she sets out to do. An arrogant male with an agenda is making her task difficult. Lucas second guesses her choices and distracts her with his take charge attitude and sends her body into hormonal overload. What's a girl to do when the man of her dreams is set on destroying her chances at success? Don't get mad, get even. Miranda proved she can play with the big boys. The heated battle of wills makes for a turbulent relationship delivers a sizzling story.

    Love From Left Field

This is my first book by this author and it definitely won't be the last! Miranda is the President of the Georgia Knights baseball team and after her father's heart attack, she is finally free that she has earned her position through merit instead of nepotism. Right before her father's heart attack, the league sends Lucas, a turnaround consultant and former family friend, to save the team from financial ruin. But since his father used to be the owner of the team, is he just biding time before he can take over? I loved Miranda. She's intelligent and truly knows the game. She proves to Lucas and all of the staff that she's more than a former beauty queen pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the only person who doesn't have real faith in her ability is her father. Lucas started out in the story looking for revenge and I really didn't want to like him. But the more I read, the more I loved him. He lifted Miranda up and encouraged her to be the leader he knew she could be. I haven't read book one in this series yet so I definitely think this can be read as a standalone. I can't wait to read books one and three in this series!
