  • Entertaining

Sarah Ready is a relatively new author to me. I found Love Not At First Sight an entertaining story that ticked a lot of boxes for me. This is Veronica Diaz and Frederick Knight (aka Sam)’s story. When a psychic predicts the man of her dreams is Frederick Knight, an absolute player, a man that she has met and disliked on sight, Veronica is determined to avoid him at all cost. However fate often works in mysterious ways and when Veronica and Sam land themselves in a heap of trouble at the bottom of a cave they need to lean on each other to survive. In the darkness they open up to one another and trust is given. The characters are engaging, and I found them easy to like and relate too. This was a quirky story that had me invested from the start. What happens when all is revealed and Veronica learns that Sam, the man she put her trust in, is actually the man she cannot stand, Frederick? One click and find out.

  • So engrossing!!

This is the second book in the Soul Mates in Romeo series. I was just as hooked with this one as I was with the first one. Whereas Chloe was looking for her soul mate in book 1, Veronica wants nothing to do with it here in book 2. So she decides to go hiking/camping for 2 weeks, to sorta hide from it. And that’s where she comes across Sam. And a cave. And a fight for their lives. Which leads to such an engrossing and emotional story, I couldn’t put it down! Finished it on one sitting! With lots of feels (and some eye leaking going on), I completely loved this!! You have to read this to find out what happened!!

  • The Masks We Wear

When a psychic matchmaker tells Veronica Diaz that her fated soulmate is Frederick Knight, the man who tops the “players” list, she won’t even risk a chance meeting with the obnoxious man. She considers ALL men fall into one of two categories, absolute players and wanna-be players. Neither is acceptable! So she runs. Fate puts Veronica in a pitch-black cave, trapped with an unknown man. Yet Veronica and Sam’s struggle for survival brings them closer as they talk about their insecurities and secrets. They are protective of each other. Sam helps Veronica realize there are some decent men in the world and she trusts Sam… enough to love him? But Fate loves throwing curves and, if they ever escape the caves, she will discover Sam is actually Frederick Knight. Will she still let herself love the man she knew in the caves? Or will she immediately dismiss the feelings that had started, and walk away, just because she had pre-judged and rejected him already? The story line, despite being somewhat predictable, will still capture the reader, heart and all, and take you on an adorable journey. The characters are fantastic, Veronica being a strong woman who knows her mind (yet is still willing to accept change) and Sam who needed a re-set to his life and was really a very nice guy trying to project a carefree image to hide his pain. Without the ability to read facial cues, the two had to talk and get to know each other, to “see” the real person underneath the masks we sometimes wear. Grab your copy and see where their journey takes them.

  • Fun, entertaining read

Love Not at First Sight is not a long read but it’s still a fun, entertaining read that will appeal to a wide range of audiences. This is Veronica Diaz and Frederick (Sam) Knight’s story. The local psychic enjoys predicting who will find their soulmate next and this time around she predicts Veronica will find the man of her dreams tomorrow and his names is Frederick. Frederick is everything she despises in a man, he is a cocky playboy and she is determined to avoid him. A trip hiking is just what she needs until she sees a man who doesn’t seem to know what he is doing, when she follows him she finds herself in a heap in top of Sam at the bottom of a cave. Fate seems to have thrown these two together and as they find their way out of the underground caves they build up trust and friendship but what will Veronica do when she finds out Sam is a really Frederick….. This is a fun, entertaining read, I smiled, I giggled, I swooned, I sighed as I joined this pair on their journey, I found myself cheering them on and I really didn’t want their story to end. Great read that I highly recommend.
