  • Enjoyable Read!

This book was a very enjoyable read. I loved the characters, and the story was very beautifully written. I thought that Benjamin and Qara were a great match. They have some trouble along the way but with a little help from her grandmother and sister things start to look better. Will things work out for them in the end? I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

  • A sweet romance

This book is just sheer good fun and a story of how total opposites sometimes are the best mix Qara Whitaker and Benjamin Lacoy are both on a trip to Mongolia but for different reasons Qara grandmother is taking her and her sister there so that they can learn about their family and connect with relatives Ben is a writer who is suffering from writers block and he is hoping the wilds of Mongolia will kickstart his muse. They continually seem to run into one another first in a taxi then on the plane and then they discover they are staying at the same hotel Soon they are sightseeing together and having fun and there is a definite spark but Qara is a workaholic unable to let her phone ring without answering it something that Ben hates after dealing with parents who where the same Can they find a compromise and have a future together ,maybe with a little help from a meddling grandmother and sister.

  • Unexpected Trip Leads to Love

Qara and Ben’s story in Love on the Winter Steppes by Paris Wynter, book one in her Holly, Idaho series, was a wonderful and enjoyable tale of two people who appear to be opposites, but then, opposites do attract. Qara Whitaker is a workaholic who often puts work ahead of family and a social life. When her grandmother asks that she accompany her on a birthday trip to Mongolia to visit their family, Qara is unable to say no. Packing up her laptop, Qara boards the plane, never imaging that sharing a cab ride with a stranger, her grandmother befriended will change her life forever. Frustrated that nothing has worked to get Benjamin Lacoy through his writer’s block, Ben impulsively flies to Mongolia, looking for inspiration; the location for his book. An unexpected encounter with a grandmother and her granddaughters allows him to experience cultural events and explore the main attractions with a knowledgeable source; especially accompanied by the beautiful and intelligent Qara. Ben and Qara are magnetic when they are together. Ben finds the inspiration he needed to get past his writers block with the help of Qara and the beauty of Mongolia. There is major chemistry between these two and Ben is feeling more than inspiration; yet, whenever he and Qara get close, but they are often interrupted by her work. Qara is in need of a wake-up call, learning how to prioritize and balance the demands on her time – work, family, and Ben. With a promotion on the line, Qara needs to make some decisions about her future, especially if she wants a future with Ben, once they return home. Ms. Wynter wrote a wonderful story that grabbed me with the descriptions of how beautiful Mongolia is as well as educating me about the people and their culture. She provided a tale rich with chemistry, family, descriptions of beautiful scenery and charming characters giving Qara and Ben a chance to work together, helping each other overcome weighing issues as they realize that they are perfect for each, and deserve to be together. I highly recommend Love on the Winter Steppes to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

  • Surprise Trip Romance

Paris Wynters writes the most unusual romances. She has done so again with Love on the Winter Steppes. In these days of limited travel she has taken us on a holiday with Qara Whitaker to Mongolia where she meets Benjamin Lacoy. Two more different people could not be. However the attraction is real in this exotic location. The exact change of scenery was wonderful not only for Benjamin but for the reader as well. It made this story with the unusual food, descriptions of the winter wonderland and the people. Seeing how Benjamin used a real place to create a fictional one was also extremely interesting. The romance progresses with some difficulties thanks to Qara’s inability to separate herself from work even for a short holiday. She is on the fast track to burnout as much as she in on the track to partnership. A lesson to be learned An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
