I love this series!

This is book 5 in the Bodyguards Inc. series but, as with all the books in this series, it can be read as a stand-alone story. This series quickly became one of my favorite M/M romance series. All of the Bodyguards Inc. stories have been about romance and suspense but in Love’s Design R.J. Scott has truly outdone herself. In addition to the suspense and romance, this story is about family and the sacrifices that one man is willing to make to keep his safe. CIA Agent Stefan Mortimer was introduced briefly in Undercover Lovers and now he gets a story of his own. Kirby Devlin has had a difficult life. His parents threw him out at age sixteen when he told them he was gay. He made his way on the streets and somehow managed to stay alive. Now, at age 24, he’s contacted by his younger brother who needs his help to keep his children safe. While waiting in a train station Stefan notices 3 men acting strangely; when he investigates he finds Kirby in the men’s room being beaten. Kirby cries for help and Stefan comes to his rescue. Then Stefan discovers that Kirby has two children with him that he’s hidden to keep them from the bad guys. This story really touched my emotions. To read what Kirby and the kids have been through was heartbreaking. To learn how far he’s come since age 14 was inspiring. The way Stefan comes to their rescue, and how he takes care of all of them, was really moving. It’s not too long before Stefan realizes that he has come to care deeply for Kirby and his charges. This is no insta-love story, however; nothing serious happens between Stefan and Kirby until chapter 20. While I gave the previous books in this series an O-factor of Scorcher, this one is a bit tamer when it comes to the sex so I’ve given it an O-factor of Spicy. But please don’t pass this book up because of that; it truly is a wonderful story. If you’ve read and enjoyed any of the other books in this series I think you will really like this one. If you’re new to R.J. Scott’s writing this book would be an excellent place to start. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions*****

    Amazing Read!!

I will say that Kirby and Stefan may not be my favorite couple working at Bodyguards, Inc but they are still completely and utterly adorable that ranks them near the top. Kirby may feel like he's floundering when it comes to taking care of his niece and nephew but he is doing what is most important, he's keeping them safe, keeping them loved, and doing everything he can to keep them fed. Which is where Stefan comes into the picture, perhaps reluctantly but he still steps up and does what he does best, kicks a little butt and protects the hurt and innocent, although he may question Kirby's innocence he knows the little ones are. RJ Scott has done it again and this time she's wrapped it in a big, sexy, hunky, beautiful Christmas bow.
