  • I love this book!

The town of Safe Haven is just that. It has sheltered lost souls and battered families. Three boys were abandoned there when there father dragged off their mother and both disappeared. The oldest is renovating some vacation cottages and finds a mom and her young twin girls squatting there. This is not how the project was supposed to begin. Slowly the town and positive experiences start to weave their magic and through misunderstandings and peril a HEA is reached. This is a sweet, heartwarming read, full of wonderful suspense. Enjoy!

  • Heartfelt, tender, and inspiring!

Low Country Hero is a heartwarming, emotive tale that takes us to Safe Haven, South Carolina and into the lives of Anna George, a young mother on the run with two little girls, no money, and an abusive ex that won’t let her go that easily, and Sean O’Dwyer, a dependable, compassionate contractor whose past has left him not only burdened with guilt but determined to stay familyless. The prose is smooth and fluid. The characters are scarred, kind, diligent, and wary. And the plot is an uplifting, feel-good tale with a sliver of suspense that’s full of touching moments, friendship, family, community, introspection, acceptance, support, special needs children, romance, love, and the devasting effects of domestic abuse. Overall, Low Country Hero is a sweet surprise, and a real treat with its engaging storylines, intriguing characters, underlying thread of revelations to come, and reminder that kindness is incredibly powerful and that a true home is one in which you feel safe, loved, and happy.

  • A wonderful story

This book told a wonderful story. Anna George and her twin daughters were escaping an abusive husband/father. Hiding out in a cottage in South Carolina she meets Sean O’Dwyer. Sean too has had a difficult past. He isn’t sure about a relationship with Anna due to his past but can’t help caring about her and her girls. Rita is another character in the book who has returned to Safe Haven to try and pick up the missing pieces of her life as she deals with amnesia. The other people in the town are also wonderful to read about. This book has a developing love story, great characters and some tense moments. I enjoyed it from the first page to the last. Can’t wait to read the other 2 in the series.
