    INTRIGUE, ENLIGHTENMENT & ENTERTAINMENT!

Low-country Boomerang (A Liz Talbot Mystery Book 8) by Susan M. Boyer is a whirlwind of intrigue, enlightenment and entertainment! Starring everyone’s two favorite Private Investigators, Liz Talbot and her husband Nate Andrews, this series is set in and around beautiful Charleston, South Carolina and the wonderful Stella Maris, Island. This installment involves a hometown hero who has made a name for himself as reality television star. Darius is tired of the spotlight and just wants to kick back and relax! Perhaps that’s something he should have considered PRIOR to having THREE ex-wives!! Even in small town Stella Maris big trouble quickly finds Darius but Liz and Nate have inside information that he is not guilty. What follows can only be described as the best crime solving spree interwoven with the best private tour of Charleston and most definitely including the best taste testing of the grandest Restaurants the area has to offer! Now that is my idea of intrigue, enlightenment and entertainment! Boyer has managed to give us the very BEST descriptive crime solving methods as this case required lots of patience, poise and precision. Her descriptions of the area are so on point that we feel as though we are walking down the streets, looking into the gardens, shopping in the stores and conversing with the people she introduces throughout Lowcountry Boomerang. Her imagery of the Restaurants and the glorious meals at each one will leave you wanting to book a trip to Charleston with your Itinerary planned completely around where you are going to dine at each meal!! Her characters blend in beautifully with this setting. Such a shame murder has to taint the picture. What a boomerang of a story awaits those who choose to read this one! The ending will leave you stunned! I was provided an ARC of this book by Henery Press and Edelweiss. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.

    Great fun read!

The best book on the series yet. It can be read independently of the other books but it is much more enjoyable if you have read the other books in the series and are familiar with all the characters. Characters are well developed and settings are described so that you feel you are there with them. It is fast paced and a fun read. No spoilers or book report from me!! Just read and enjoy as we await the next case that Liz and Nate tackle.

    Best One Yet...

Susan M. Boyer does a rip-roaring, mystery with this one. It has lots of action, plenty of interesting characters, and the sweet romance between our Protagonists. This time the murder of Trina Lynn Causby has Liz Talbot and her Husband Nate working overtime. They are defending Darius Baker, the retired star of Mainstreet U.S.A. With such lush characters as Moon Unit and other varied, southern characters this book is a page turner in the true sense. I sat and read the whole thing at one go. Not only is the charm of the story the ripe setting of Stella Maris, but parts of it were so funny I laughed out loud. The varied food makes you want to visit and if I ever find Chef's better than Charleston or this particular Island they will never get rid of me. Additionally, the fact that Liz and her Husband are Private Investigators is a plus. If Magnum P.I. had been married with this setting...well you get the picture. Treat yourself and read this one. I enjoyed it. My thanks to Netgalley and Henery Press

    Great read

I love this series of books. As a transplanted Charlestonian, I enjoy reading about places I am familiar with. In this book, we are introduced to Darius Baker, a local boy who made it big in Hollywood and came back to his hometown of Stella Maris, just in time to be accused of murder. Liz and Nate to the rescue along with the whimsical Colleen. Some foreshadowing of things to come occured in this book, with Liz's nightmares continuing to plague her. All in all, it was a delight to read with just enough mystery to keep you interested and guessing who the murderer was. Perfect for a lazy afternoon read in a Pawley's Island hammock. I can't wait for the next installment in the life of Nate & Liz. Please note: I was given an advanced review copy by the author. My opinions and reviews are my own.

    Liz and Nate Are Back!!

Liz and Nate are back for another nail biter on Stella Maris. A woman has been killed and the killer is tracking Liz and Nate’s moves. Susan Boyer continues her Liz Talbot series with a winner in Lowcountry Boomerang. This book was such a pleasure to read – I love to follow along with Liz and Nate as they tease out another mystery. Boyer’s descriptions of Charleston will have you believing that you are walking the streets with Liz and Nate in pursuit of the killer.
