    Magpie get your gun

The adventure continues with Ms Mackay and her dysfunctional but helpful family and friends. Vampires, werewolves and ghosts...oh my! A girl just can't get a break when it seems both her own and the Earthly dimensions seem determined to force her into living in 'interesting times'.

    Maggie Get Your Gun

This book is original and quite funny. Unfortunately, I could only give it 3 stars because it couldn't seem to make up its mind whether it was a comedy or a serious kickass novel. It left me a little unsatisfied. 🤔

    Fun story!

This book was lots of fun. I love the odd characters that Kare Danley puts in this series. And the stories are fun, too. I would warn that there is a lot of cursing in this book. This series as a whole has lots of cussing. This book in particular has lots of the F word in several forms, as well as other curse words. I thought the cursing in the first book of the series showed more creativity. But I'm not really a fan of cussing, and this series is not for young readers. I would have given it five stars if the cursing were cut out, but I do see how it builds the character of Maggie. I would recommend this story in spite of the cussing to anyone who likes mysteries, paranormal stories with a twist, orsarcastically fun humour. I greatly enjoyed it.

    That a girl!

An enjoy able read that keeps you hanging with the many unexpected twists. Not really of fan of vampires and ghouls stuff, I thought that Maggie's characters was well rounded and credifle. Well not in the Other World as such but quite a good set of interaction. Not to mention the ninja skills and the rest. Action packed, I loved the Killian elf. Touch of magic, unexpected and so nice. Quite still unsure of what a brownie is, but if one came free with the next book, I'll be first to order. The story is well crafted with a central character who gives everyone more than they bargained for. The warning it comes with was unheeded by me.... because I did not notice anything. Not easy to when you are alongside Maggie staking vamps and ghouls sent by an up to then unknown member of your own family.
