  • Loved it!

This is the novella I've been wanting! The story of Dali and Jim. It is something that was teased in one of the earlier novels, but I've been wanting this story. It is the romance of two unlikely people and I loved it. I have loved Dali from the moment we met her. She is so quirky! She's a shifter, one of the most celebrated in the shifter world. But she's a vegan. Yes, a vegan shifter. And shifting isn't easy for her. And on top of that, she is practically blind. She has self-esteem issues of the highest sort and compensates by drag racing, despite her eyesight. I love her. And then there's Jim. Usually surly, he's the head of security for the King of the Beasts. And, for once, he has to rely on someone else to help him. Enter Dali. The romance is sweet and rife with all those bizarre issues that exist in relationships. And then if the romance is between shifters? Well, things only get more complicated. Overall: This is a great side story to the series. They are two very different characters and their relationship is just one I rooted for.

  • One of the best things about Ilona and Gordon Andrews, the authors, is that they fill in the blanks of some of the characters you come to love as much as the lead heroine and hero. I absolutely adore all of the Kate Daniel's books and have read them all multiple times. This novella is the story of Jim and Dali. There are hints in the Kate books of a potential romance, but Dali's crazy driving in spite of Jim's orders, means things are not moving forward. This story is about these two characters battling an evil force that threatens Jim's life and upgrading their relationship. It is funny and sweet and will please any Kate Daniel's fan. Highly recommended.

  • Dali and Jim

Jim is the packs security chief and alpha of clan cat. Dali is a magical white vegetarian tige that can't handle the smell of blood. When Jim runs into magical trouble he comes to Dali for help. It was an awesome short story and I really look forward to the next story about them.

  • Magic Dreams

I'm glad I got to read about Jim and Dali's story after getting introduced to them in previous books. Great shifter fantasy romance.

  • excellent addition to the series

Here we see Jim and Dali take centre stage, 2 characters that I love in the series but that you really don't see enough of in the early books. It's not absolutely crucial that you read this to understand the continuation of the series from here but I highly recommend that you do. It's a completely realised story with a lighthearted and fun tone, and it definitely adds depth to the overall series, enabling you to appreciate the characters of Jim and Dali more in the later books. A must read for any fan of the series
