    Review: Magnificent Bastard

Magnificent Bastard by Lili Valente is a stand-alone romance that is so flipping funny and sweet and fantastic you'll want more. I just couldn't get enough of Bash's perspective on life, love, and the consulting business he owns. The plot is original, the dialogue is HILARIOUS, and I blown away, yet again, by the wonderful writing skills of the wonderful Lili Valente A.K.A Jessie Evans (for the less erotically inclined). Bash is consultant who helps women get "revenge" on their loser exes by putting on a performance of moving on with a hot and sensitive man and making sure that the power the loser ex had over the girl is cut, severed, gone forever. His assistant for the past couple of years, who he has NEVER met in person, shows up one day requesting his services. Penny has had it rough. She has always kept to herself, and while she is a beautiful person inside and out, her confidence has taken a huge hit thanks to not only her ex but a certain family member too. She needs Bash's help to get her life back on track, take the power back from her ex and show everyone, once and for all, that she is tough enough to stand tall and proud. I loved it - it's awesome - Just read it! Enjoy

    Love Bash and Penny!

I loved Magnificent Bastard by Lili Valente! Bash is the Magnificent Bastard and Penny is the assistant he has had for a couple years. But even though the two have never met she is his best friend, and that is all about to change. The Magnificent Bastard Services are to help women get the man they want or to get back at an ex, but no sex involved. Now Penny is desperate and needs Bash’s services, so she decides to show up to meet him in person by surprise. Surprise is the right word as Bash is immediately taken in by her and is immediately interested in her before he realizes who she is, his best friend. She is perfect for him in every way, but he is a serial dater (no commitment), and this is someone he depends on. The question remains can he help her with her ex without getting too close, will their connection grow, will he run from her like all the others…

    Gotta Love Bash!

This may be my new favorite book by Lili Valente! When I first read the blurb for this book I was never expecting it to be as heartfelt and loving as it is. While the premise for the book is pretty original and done in a very tongue-in-cheek way, it is actually a very sweet and romantic love story. I think what I liked best about this book was that there wasn't a lot of angst and drama between Bash and Penny. They were both very upfront with their flirtation and didn't send each other mixed signals. It was obvious from the get-go that they had passion and chemistry and I loved that Bash wasn't ashamed to admit it. Sure they hit a slight bump in the road but what lovable couple doesn't. I would highly recommend this book and although it's a stand alone novel, I would love to see these two again in another book:)

    Hello Mr. Prince

Lili Valente has once again delivered an extraordinary story. Magnificent Bastard had me laughing with its banter, corky one liners, and the sweet friendship between two individuals that was developed over emails and text messages. Sebastian "Bash" Prince is the owner of Magnificent Bastard Consulting, a business designed to help woman regain their dignity, self esteem and get revenge on the men who have broken their hearts and spirit. Bash is too familiar with heart break, and he makes it his mission to get justice for all the woman that seek out his service. Penny is Bash's virtual assistant for the past two years. They have never met, but Penny knows what he looks like through pictures. Through these past two years, their friendship has bloomed into something special, a friendship in which they both lean on each other. Together, they have made Magnificent Bastered a success. Not once has Penny taken Bash up on his attempts for them to meet, until Penny became a victim and reached out to Bash for help. When Bash set his eyes on Penny for the first time, he couldn't believe the beauty before him was the woman that he called his best friend, his Penny. There is nothing that will keep him from helping her get her revenge. However, what Bash doesn't expect is how hard he falls for his friend, the woman whom he has established a bond with before they even met. Can Bash set aside his fears and really let Penny in? Will their pretend relationship become a real one? Will they have their happily ever after. Magnificent Bastard is told in Bash's view. I loved the text messages and emails between Penny and Bash, especially how it shows us the growth of Penny and Bash's relationship. The story was filled with hot sexy scenes as well as sweet, tender moments between two people who are learning to trust and live life again. Beautifully written Lili Valente.
