    Nice casual read

Perfect blend of mystery and romance, the characters were very likeable and charming. Would definitely recommend for a light read with a blanket and a big cup of coffee to relax with :)

    Good but disapointing ending

Well researched and fairly well done. A few indications 3/4 way throu. But ending more for a movie ending as the situation was too over the top. Quite good till that point. Would like to read it with the same villan but diferent treatment of the resolution.

    Maids of Misfortune

Young widow, Annie Fuller, not only runs a boarding house, she supplements her income as a clairvoyant. To her dismay, one of her favorite clients dies unexpectedly and she resolves to go undercover as a downstairs maid to prove that his death was murder. Set in 1879 in historic San Francisco, the characters are eliminated as suspects one by one, while Annie starts to fall for the family's lawyer as he tries to protect her from becoming embroiled in the case without success. A fun read!

    Maids of misfortune

Nicely narrated, moves at a good pace. I could hardly put it down, just wanted to find out what happens next!

Not worth the time to read.

Insipid is the word that best describes this book. I'd have felt cheated if this had been anything but a free offer.
