Pull Me Close was one of my favorite reads of 2016 so I could barely contain my excitement for Matt's story. If you haven't read Pull Me Close, Make Me Stay can be read as a standalone but both are so amazing, you'll want to pick up both. Matt has been pulling double duty as a lawyer during the week and helping run Panic on the weekends with his twin brother, Nick, and his father. When June walks into the club and proceeds to pour her drink over some guy's head, he's captivated and determined to spend time with her. They have an amazing five months together and then the Moreno family is arrested and June disappears. When Matt sees June again and discovers that she is a cop, he feels played and is ready to never see her again. But the love between them was strong and the connection was real. Can they move past the past and rebuild? I didn't think I would love a character as much as I loved Nick but then I was introduced to Matt. He's romantic, passionate, patient, and hands down a great guy. I felt the entire spectrum of emotions during this story. I was pulling for April and Matt every second. I'll be looking forward to meeting more characters from Panic! *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

  • Fantastic

Matt Moreno dreads each day as he works all week at his law firm then all weekend at his family's night club. Then he met and fell hard for June Simpson. For the 5 blissful months they were together Matt had never been happier. Then she just disappeared. Gone without a word. Now 2 years later his life is completely different. His father is in prison. He was fired from the firm. The night club is barely hanging in there. Then he's certain he see's her again but she disappears into the crowd. Again! Then out of nowhere she turns up in his club with apologies and explanations Matt doesn't want to hear. A fantastic story of forgiveness, love, and following your heart. While it's the second in a series it is easily read standalone. The characters are fantastic and the writing is great, making for a very entertaining book. I highly recommend this book.

  • interesting

3.75stars Make me stay is the second book in the series. It was for me just ok because the first book was really amazing to me. The plot was god interesting, realistic. Both April and Matt great develop character with great passion between them. We see them both in two different sides of them. Matt easy going and funny and then the darker angrier side. April in strong fierce side and then in broken vulnerably one. Matt was really long time very stubborn and I thought that he wouldn’t go past the anger but in the end all ends well. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
