Another fun and sexy read from Katee Robert!

All the heart and heat I’ve come to expect from a Katee Robert book – made even more delicious by all the tension created by the heroine’s refusal to give in to her feelings and the hero’s relentless pursuit of what he knows is a true happy ever after for them both. I’m normally not a fan of the accidental baby trope but I love Katee Robert and just loved how this book was so much more than just that trope. The push and pull that goes on between Becka and Aaron added such a great tension to the story that went far past their physical desire. Although the pregnancy forced these two together, right from the start the emotions went far deeper than just responsibility and obligation. Becka wasn’t my favorite heroine and even knowing her backstory and what her issues were I found myself getting frustrated time and again. Aaron was awesome. He was a bit over the top at times with a bit too much of his alpha coming out, but I loved how he tried to rein himself in once he realized that Becka needed to feel as much in control as he did. Another fun and sexy read from Katee Robert!

    Enjoyable

Fitness instructor Becka meets CEO Aaron at a wedding and the sparks fly. Instant attraction leads to a one night stand and an accidental pregnancy. Overall I enjoyed Make Me Yours, however this is the first book I've read where I didn't really like the female character. Becka just seemed to have too much baggage to instantly fall in love. Aaron on the other hand was a saint in comparison. Overall I'd give this a 3.5 or 4 stars.

    Love is patient

Make Me Yours Katee Robert Becka Baudin is attending her sister’s wedding. While she is happy for her, she still feels a little resentment, she feels like she is being left behind by her sister Lucy and best friend Allie. She figures a little one night stand will make her feel better. Quick, no commitments. She spies a handsome man across the room, who is also checking her out. Their chemistry is hot. Aaron Livingston is a business associate also attending the wedding. He is drawn to Becka too. They have a night of wild sex and separate. Aaron wanted more than one night, but Becka didn’t. Time goes on and Aaron still thinks about Becka, he finally gets a call three months later. It seems Becka is pregnant. Aaron plans on being involved in the baby’s life much to Becka’s annoyance. She doesn’t want to be managed. He moves her into his penthouse and tries to take care of her. Throughout, they butt heads. Aaron tries to figure out a way to melt Becka’s heart and make her realize that he wants her as well as the baby. Becka soon realizes that he will allow her to be herself and not everyone will be like her parents. I liked this story even though at times I wanted to shake Becka and tell her to give Aaron a chance. Their relationship at times was explosive. Eventually Aaron was able to break down her walls and she realized that not every relationship was like her parents. They did end up with their HEA. I am going to read the two stories before this in which Allie and Lucy find their loves.

a one night stand with big consequences

Aaron and Becka meet at her sister's wedding and end up having a one night stand with big consequences that pushes them into navigating their issues and differences to try to form a relationship. I liked the premise, and I mostly liked Aaron, but Becka drove me nuts with frustration. She couldn't get over herself for a second and she used the fact that she had mediocre parents (not the worst, but not great either) as an excuse to behave like a stubborn kid. And all this childish behavior under the guise of being a "strong" "independent" woman. I think that's what grated on my nerves the most: being strong is not the same as being hardheaded and being independent is not the same as pushing people away and then crying foul when they do indeed leave. So, Becka was a no for me, but the writing was good, the hero was likable and the story was well-paced. Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

    Make Me Yours

usually accidental pregnancy stories don't work for me, but there was something about becka and aaron, maybe how hot the chemistry ran between them. maybe how the way they connect physically leads them to connect emotionally on so many levels is done in a way that feels organic and honest. it doesn't just happen in an instinctive way, but in an intellectual way that really works for me. they have reservations about each other all over the place. but they also want each other so badly. make me yours works because that's all either of them really wants. to belong. to be claimed. to be wanted by the other person as badly as they want. **make me yours will publish on may 1, 2019. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/harlequin (dare) in exchange for my honest review.
