    a great dark romance

Manik is a dark, standalone, enemies-to-lovers romance that sucks you right in from the first page and keeps you entertained until the very end. I love all of Amo Jones’ previous books and Manik does not disappoint. It is fast paced that is guaranteed to give you a book hangover. Aeron “Manik” is a famous rap artist who is also a member of a Russian mafia family. He has a dark soul, is very sexy, and is very much an alpha antihero. Beatrice “Beat” is a very strong survivor who discovers that everything she thinks she knows isn’t necessarily true. I don’t want to give anything away, but let’s just say it is interesting to watch their relationship evolve. There are so many twists and turns and just when you think you have it all figured out, the author throws you for a big loop. Manik and Beat together are dynamic. Their chemistry is palpable, but there were times where I really wasn’t sure if they would and maybe even should end together given all the obstacles and revelations. This author always does a great job with character development. She writes about characters who are beautifully flawed and dark. The author creates an anti-hero that you want to dislike, but you cannot help but love instead. The storyline of Manik is unique and Amo Jones’ has an amazing way of leading you through Manik and Beat’s journey. I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.

    Sick plot twists!

Amo Jones does it again! This author breaks all the rules no matter what she writes. It's these dark romances with sick plot twists and super evil Alpha men. For starters the Prologue was very ominous. It was mind blown right from the beginning. Beatrice intrigues the readers but she falls prey to Aeron aka Manik after witnessing a murder. The lead male Aeron is so dark, it's surprising he can behave around Beat. The chemistry from the start makes you hold your breath. "maybe the most beautiful faces hide the darkest souls." It's easy to be engrossed in this storyline. I devoured every page. It's the twisted scenes thrown at you that makes writing a proper review impossible because so much can be given away. This is definitely a must read of 2018!

    Top read of 2018!!!!

Ohhh my god!! This book was amazing!! I was hooked from chapter one and did not want to put it down!! It was dark, twisted, gritty and intense. Manik, my god he was everything. His filthy mouth! I am obsessed with that sexy, dangerous and savage beast. Beatrice aka Beat was awesome, sassy, strong and real! I love her! The connection Manik and Beat had was explosive. I loved loved them together. This book is my favorite by Amo and top read of 2018!!

    Fabulous read

Wow just wow. Can that be my review as I’m not sure what else to say. I’m blown away by these words. No matter what I say I won’t give this book the words it deserve but I’ll give it a try. I’m not going to go into the storyline. I really don’t want to spoil it for you so I’ll tell you a wee story about me and this story.... I read lots. It’s my passion. But this week I’ve had way too much on my mind. For a few days I just didn’t bother reading which is rare for me. I had a few hours spare and I knew I needed to escape my head, my thoughts. Next on my reading list was MANIK. Although I heard great things about this book I knew it needed to be something special to get me out of this mind space I was in. Guess what it worked. I had a few hours of reading & forgetting my problems. When I put it down I actually looked forward to picking it up again. I needed to read more. Beat and Manik. Two amazing characters. Wow what a story. Totally unpredictable. The storyline is so good it messed with my head. Just when I thought it was going one way there was a complete shift and I was mentally high fiving the author. This is a fast paced amazing read. The only wish I have is that I didn’t read it so I could read it again for the first time. It really is that good. Can’t wait to see what else this author writes next.

    Captivating Darkness

Brace yourself for darkness which is what you may expect from a bratva book that is not afraid to take you places that don’t see coming. This book took me in and didn’t let me go until the very last sentence and it was one h*ll of a ride the whole way through. The author wrote the characters in the way that made you feel a part of the dark world of the bratva with all the ugliness that comes with that. I have to say that I am now an Amo Richards fan and look forward to reading more of her books.
