    Ice Hockey Lovers

Marc’s Spot by Meg Harding Book Review Published by Loose ID Impressions This is a wonderful concept for sports fabled gay romance. The blending of were magic, competitive testosterone driven sport of ice hockey while discovering first love is magic. The chemistry of a shifting Dom male with an equally powerful Sub makes for a compelling story of love. Ordinary human ice hockey competition makes the libido sit up and watch. But adding that extra flavor into the mix of were and gay passion peaked my interest. This became a good read. Growing up in Chicago – we take our Stanley Cup players to heart. They are rough and fight hard on ice. This read brought them a little close to home. Story/Plot/Conflict Gay weres Marc and Lucas are major league players in the rough sport of ice hockey. Lucas is the older of the two and looking to take his storied career to a new place – not putting aside his hockey sticks but creating new chapters. The younger goalie Marc is not only beautiful sexy – a red panda in his animal form, but he is also destined for greatness. Already owning a team Gold Cup under his steamy belt, his career is just beginning to sparkle. Relationships among players of different teams have bleak prospects of succeeding. Distance and the innate sense of competitiveness soften a libido and cool a relationship. But Lucas and Marc understand early that this thing between them will not serve well as a bootie call when in town. They both want more and they want it to last. Spiced with subtle BDSM flavored love their match becomes scintillated perfection. Ice hockey is their life and truest love. But the lovers learned that the game is not the only major player in becoming who themselves and each other. Main Characterizations Lucas Grayson is a veteran award winning ice hockey player, Mr. Serial One Night Stand and a big jaguar. He falls in love. The younger goalie took his heart, becoming the love of his life. Marc Lacroix is the young upcoming star goalie. A Lucas Grayson fan, he is surprised and happy with how the ice warrior introduces himself in a dark locker room. Critiques Truly strong characterizations but I thought at first the preponderance of jargon interfered with a wonderful story concept. But like creating music, the cadence and transitions are as smooth as glass.
