  • Loved!

I love this series and think I have read every book in it, following Lucas from earlier career up to now with him as a US Marshall. This is a quickly moving story with Lucas called in to hunt the creator of a right wing website. Along to way to solving that question, he realizes that the real problem is much bigger and suited to his unique skill set to resolve. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. I loved it and found myself turning pages just as quickly as possible. Put this one on your TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.

  • Sandford Never Fails!!

I have been a huge John Sandford/Lucas Davenport fan since Cold Prey! I then went back and read the previous entries in the Prey series and each one since. This includes the excellent Virgil Flowers series. I do prefer Davenport though and was so excited to receive this ARC! This one has a corrupt government (is there any other kind) storyline, which is not my favorite thing to read about, but Sandford does such a great job of building suspense and keeping things zipping along that I still loved it! I can also see something like this actually happening in today's times. Another outstanding Prey entry! I highly recommend this, but do feel it is more enjoyed as part of the series just because Davenport is such a complex character and I like knowing histories, but it can still work as a standalone. Thank you to NetGalley, John Sandford and Penguin Group Putnam for this ARC!

  • Masked Prey

After reading the last Prey book, I thought that Lucas was finally going to have to hang it up so I was very excited that he's continuing. The way this book ended left me feeling disappointed. This isn't the Davenport that I have come to love so much. That being said, I did like most of this book and I'm hoping that the next one is back to the Lucas of old

  • Triste lecture

Décevant. Trop de verbiage politique américain. Quelquefois vulgaire. Histoire peu vraisemblable. J'espère qu'il reviendra au Mid-West américain dans ses prochains titre.
